About the home

The property is newly constructed and is located in a gated community with its own park, a jogging path and two ponds. It is well secured with a visible human security personnel at nights. Next door across the fence is a Golf Course. The shopping mall is just 1km away.

It has three bedrooms with a jacuzzi tub in the Master bathroom along with an air conditioner and ceiling fan. The two other bedrooms have ceiling fans with an air conditioner in one of the two bedrooms. The lower split level floor has the living, dining and kitchen all tiled with an exit to the back patio / porch for relaxation. It is a fine property for a enjoyable relaxing holiday for the entire family.

There is a wash room with a side door that leads to the outdoor clothes line. There are two front entrances, one from the garage and the other from the front patio / terrace.

A mid week maid service is provided.

A small planter garden is provided at the front of the building close to the footpath that leads to the front entrance. There are two garden spot lights that illuminate the garden at nights when switched on.

There is plenty of yard space where the whole family can play

Spot lights are located at three corners of the house. In addition to the street l lights immediately in front of the property. External ( contractor) security is provided for the entire area at nights.

Pay in full upon arrival at the property. All transactions will be done in Antigua upon arrival.

Price is per week and is quoted in US dollars. Price includes: Airport pick up and drop off, one drop off to the nearest beach only, a bicycle for cycling in the community, and mid-week maid service. No other charges included.

The park with ponds and jogging path is for the community and not the general public. It is opened to all community occupants.

The Antigua region

Antigua with sister island Barbuda received independence from Britain in 1981. It was discovered by Christopher Columbus and was named after a church in Seville, Spain. The system of government follows the British Westminster System which is a parliamentary democracy.

The island sits in the Caribbean chain with an average annual sunny climate of 85 degrees. Fand has tourism as its main industry. Its music is calypso and soca.The official musical instrument is the steel pan made from oil drums. The main dish is Fungee and Shad which is finger licking.

This small island (108 square miles) has produced great Calypso singers such a Short Shirt, Swallow, and Obstinate along with cricketers such as Sir Vivian Richards, Andy Roberts, Richie Richardson, and Curtley Ambroose. Places of interest are Nelson's Dockyard, Shirley's Height, Betty's Hope, Fig Tree drive, museum, St. John's Cathedral, Green Castle Hill,and many more.

The Cedar Valley / Cedar Valley Springs area

Cedar Valley Springs is a special designed gated community with a limited number of homes. A golf course is just over the fence. Two ponds sit in the community and are encircled by a jogging path as shown in the photo.

The beach (Fort James) shown is just 4km away. The community is quiet and is good for a casual stroll or a bicycle ride. The shopping Mall is just down the hill and further along is the capital city of St. John's.

On the other side of the island, is Nelson's Dockyard. A visit is a must. It's an old British naval site and museum reflecting the great British Admiral Horatio Nelson.

Above the Dockyard is Shirley's Height. There is entertainment on Sunday afternoons. A breathtaking view of the sea below creates the crave for a longer stay.

Betty's Hope, an old sugar estate should not be missed. The Museum and St. John's Cathedral in the City is also a must. Island Safaris and horse back riding are available for a fee

Antigua's carnival is from the last week in July and ends on the first Tuesday in August. It's that time of the year when cultural talents explode particularly calypso, soca, and steel band music.

The property is located in Cedar Valley Springs about 15 minutes drive from V.C. Bird International Airport. Several airlines leave the UK for Antigua. Such airlines are: British Airways, BMI, Virgin Atlantic and many charters.

Car rentals can be arranged on arrival. Your drivers licence must be converted to Antiguan for a small fee.
