Home description

The accommodation comprises a lounge/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, conservatory and downstairs toilet. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms plus bathroom. Outside, there is a front garden with access to the cottage, whilst to the rear there’s a small decked area from which a gate gives access to a minor road leading down to Cawsand beach.

Cawsand-Kingsand are small twin fishing villages situated on the Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall. The peninsula is known as ‘Cornwall's Forgotten Corner’ and is completely un-spoilt - the villages are the perfect base and represent an oasis of calm away from crowds and bustle. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the villages are an artist's dream with beaches that are safe, clean, ideal for bathing and popular for water sports and fishing.

For walkers, the Cornish Coastal path passes through the village close to the cottage and offers superb walking with wonderful sea views.

The West Country / Cornwall region

The Rame Peninsula or "The Forgotten Corner" as it is known locally is just across the border with Devon, in South East Cornwall. Bordered on three sides by water, the Rivers Lynher, Tamar and Plymouth Sound, you will find here a haven of peace and tranquillity.

Used as a safe harbour for centuries, Cawsand Bay offers the perfect place to drop anchor and is popular for swimming, windsurfing and water skiing.


Cawsand area

Rame is forgotten by the hordes of tourists who stream over the Tamar Bridge further into Cornwall. It is uncommercialised and timeless - a haven for those who enjoy the slower pace of life in the countryside - walking, birdwatching, fishing or just lazing - the perfect place for the traditional family holiday.

The perfect base for exploring the rest of Cornwall - Land's End is only 90 minutes away, while Plymouth (reached from one of three ferries) is just across the water, with its big city attractions, theatres and conference centre, cinemas and wealth of history. If you're feeling energetic then Dartmoor is a mere half an hour away as are Looe and Polperro. Bodmin Moor is only 45 minutes.

Short weekend or mid-week breaks of 3 and 5 nights respectively are also offered subject to availability.

Conditions

The cottage is ready from 2:00pm on the date of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00am on the date of departure.

A 20% deposit is payable on booking, with the balance due 6 weeks before the booking date.
