- Kingsand and Cawsand have a selection of pubs, local shops, all within a couple of minutes walk

- Whitsand Bay with a 4 mile stretch of sand is about a 10 minute drive

- Cawsand has a seasonal ferry running directly across to the Mayflower steps on the Barbican

- Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and Antony House and Gardens are close by

- Plymouth is about 20 minutes by car via the Torpoint ferry
