Apartment Tahia Bay is situated on the outskirts of Cavtat, a town often referred to as the most beautiful town on the Adriatic.

In Cavtat town you will find all the things you would normally associate with a small Mediterranean town. During the heat of the day you can relax at one of the many harbour side bars and restaurants, watching the luxury yachts arrive. At night Cavtat awakens from its day long siesta and fills with people of all nationalities promenading before choosing which of the many restaurants to eat and relax in.

The stunningly beautiful Old Town of Dubrovnik can be viewed from the balcony and can be reached by either boat from the local beach or a short bus ride.

The apartment consists of a spacious, private, south facing balcony which leads directly onto the large lounge/diner. Here you will find a corner sofa which easily converts to a double bed, table and chairs and television with built in DVD and iPod docking station. The bedroom consists of a king sized double bed and triple sized wardrobe . The bathroom contains a shower, wash basin and w.c. The large kitchen was refitted in 2009 with a brand new, luxury, kitchen. Here you will also find a washing machine and the air conditioning unit.

Our apartment is only 5 minutes from the quiet local beach. Here you will find boat trips, water sports restaurants and bars. Water temperatures in the summer average 24-25 degrees.

A short ,picturesque, walk along the coast will bring you to the beautiful ancient town of Cavtat (pronounced savtat), passing many sea front bars and restaurants on your way. This town, so much loved by the world's celebrities, offers all the peace and tranquillity so difficult to find today.

Dubrovnik Old Town, a World Heritage Site, can be seen standing proud in the distance and is a must for all to see. This beautiful, cosmopolitan town truly is breathtaking in its beauty.

Car hire is not essential as local transport, both by boat and bus, is excellent and punctual.

You cannot understate the beauty of this region of Croatia. The mountains that fringe the coast add a dramatic back drop to every vista. The pebble beaches ease you gently into the warm Adriatic, making it very safe for children and non-swimmers. Average temperatures for May to September are in the high twenties but day time temperatures well in excess of this can be expected

Dubrovnik Old Town is a must for all. This beautiful ancient walled town, now a World Heritage Site, will enthral all.

No trip to this region would be complete without a boat trip to one of the many sleepy little islands.

The Cavtat / Obod area

Cavtat's history goes back to 300BC when the Greeks created the settlement of Epidaurus. It went on to become one of the Roman Empires most important settlements in the area. Cavtat has been rebuilt many times during in its history but still retains its ancient charm and richly deserves its title as “The most beautiful town on the Adriatic” Cavtat has moved with the times but unlike many Mediterranean towns has not sacrificed its soul.

Due to the Adriatic's exceptional clean and clear waters, this area is a must for those looking for a water sports holiday. SCUBA diving, sailing, fishing and more, are all readily available.

During the summer months you will always find local festivals and events at any one of the little towns in the region.

Transfers to and from the airport are included in the rental price. Transfer time is less than 15 minutes.

“Lovely apartment in a beautiful location” We stayed for eight nights at the end of September. We had perfect weather so didn't actually spend much time in the apartment, but we would have been happy to had the weather not been as good - it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's also in a great location - the stroll into Cavtat town took us around 20 minutes; you could certainly do it more quickly than this but it's such a pretty walk that we didn't feel inclined to rush. Cavtat itself is just lovely - in every direction you look there's a view; whether of the sea, the mountains or the atmospheric old buildings. There are lots of places to eat, drink or just sit and watch the world go by. If you want a change of scenery there are plenty of day trips to other attractive places that are just on the doorstep. And an extra plus - the lovely Ljiljana is a mine of information about the local area, and on hand if you need her.

“A Room with a View - Stunning” We stayed at Tahia Bay Apartment in July for 8 days before moving on to Dubrovnik for 3 days. The only dissapointed we had was that we were going home too soon. The apartment was probably the best we have ever stayed in - clean, extremely well equipped , really comfortable and excellent value for money. I have to say that when we were in the apartment we spent most of our time on the balcony - the views were just awesome and there was just enough shade in the late afternoon to sit & sip a long cold drink without melting in the heat. Ljiljana - the owner of the property beneath us was always very helpful & friendly. She took us to a restuarant in the mountains one evening where we had a delicious Croation meal. Ljiljana also arranged for us to go on a boat trip which was a really good day out. Our first time in Croatia will definately not be our last & we would love to come back to Tahia Bay again. What can I say - It was just Perfect!!

“Perfect view” We have recently returned from a 10 day holiday at the Tahia Bay apartment. The view from the balcony is lovely especially the sunsets. The apartment is so well equipped it feels like home! Booking was easy and everything went well with the flight and Ljiljana was there to meet us at the airport and give us lots of information. She had bought in a few items for our arrival at our request and nothing was too much trouble. The buses into Dubrovnik are frequent and punctual as is the boat service. We were able to go there several times and also went on a day excusion to Montenegro booked through Delfin travel in Cavtat. The small coach kindly picked us up from near the apartment, at the bus stop on the main road and also dropped us off at the end of the day, which saved us walking into Cavtat. It is a long walk into Cavtat and at times we did find walking back up the hill a challenge and once inside the apartment were reluctant sometimes to face the walk back in for something to eat, so ate at the apartment. Would definately recommend staying at the apartment (if you don't mind steep hills) as the aspect and accommodation are worth it., when you get there.

“picture perfect view” We stayed at this apartment in early May this year, the apartment was very comfortable, clean and modern. The view from the balcony was stunning as were the sunsets, Llijana was more than helpful and welcoming. Cavtat was really lovely with lots of restaurants along the sea front so plenty of choice. “The perfect place to relax and unwind - great location, people, food and apartment” We have returned to Apartment Tahia bay for the 4th time and have to say we didnt think our holiday could get much better - however when we arrived this time (after almost 18 months) we were delighted with the changes that we found! The owners had completely refurbished the apartment and made it into a 1 bed with a large living and dining room which opened out onto the large balcony (this was previously the master bedroom) A new kitchen had been installed and the bedroom (previoulsy the 2nd bedroom) had been decorated and furnished beautifully. We had always loved the apartment - hence our many returns, however these changes made it a far more enjoyable stay! On the one day that we had bad weather we were able to spend the day lounging around the new living area and didnt feel guilty about relaxing at home rather than doing all the usual holiday stuff that often leaves us in need of another holiday - we both came home completely refreshed having enjoyed every minute of this holiday. We cant wait to return during the Christmas period now that the living area has been created! As usual the locals could not have been more welcoming! From the moment we arrive we are always made to feel like family and have found that nothing is too much for the people of Croatia. The family downstairs are delightful and always on hand to help should you need it. Even though we visited out of season most of the good restaurants were open and served superb food day and night - i would like to recommend some of them, however there are far too many and i dont think you can go wrong by trying them all! If you are unsure about Croatia as a holiday destination then please dont be - Cavtat is by far one of the most beautiful destinations we have ever visited and we will continue to visit and stay at your apartment for as long as you will allow us to! My top recommendations would be: Vice Beach Bar on the penninsular is the best for sunbathing and beautiful sunsets (directions are in the apartment if I remember correctly) Bar Amore in the evening for cocktails and Leut Restaurant for any special occasion (its a bit pricey but worth every penny!) We cannot wait for next year!

“Fantastic appartment and place” Wonderful welcome pack which was totally unexpected. This is the second time we have stayed in this place and absolutley love it. Very well documented regarding facilities and steep hill, really clean and super facilities in the surrounding area. Response: Unfortunately we do not provide a welcome pack anymore. We can however arrange for a provisions box, to your order, to be made available.
