Albatross View is a 2 bed apartment situated on an elevated site overlooking the beautiful Uvala Tiha (quiet bay).
The apartment consists of a master bedroom with double bed or twin beds and 2nd bedroom with bunk beds and 1 single bed. The living/kitchen area has a sofa bed (sleeps 2). The apartment has AC, TV, DVD,CD player and a fully equipped galley kitchen and bathroom/utility room.
The balcony to the front has stunning views of the Adriatic and the world famous medieval walled city of Dubrovnik can also be seen glistening in the distance due to the marble tiled streets. From the rear balcony there are views of olive groves and mountains.
Cavtat village is a treasure trove of history, art and culture, beautiful beaches all around, fun sporting activities and lively night entertainment and excellent restaurants. The local beach is a 5 minute walk, with crystal clear waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling and fishing. The boat to Dubrovnik and Island tours also go from the beach.

Master bedroom has double doors which open onto a large balcony. The master bedroom has a double bed or 2 singe beds, large wardrobes & luggage rest, full length mirror, lockers, bedside lamps & radio alarm clock. Bedroom no2 has a wardrobe, lockers, bedside lamps, 1 set of bunk beds, 1 single bed. The living/dining area has a well equipped galley kitchen. There is a fridge and separate freezer, aswell as a microwave. There is a large sofa, which converts to a double bed. The door from this area opens onto a balcony facing the mountains and olive groves.

There is a large balcony to the front of the apartment - suitable for dining, with spectacular evening sun set views. There are also sun loungers. The balcony to the rear of the apartment also has nice views and is shaded in the evening.

Dubrovnik, the city of culture and history is 15km away. It offers an abundance of entertainment and cultural activities. Dubrovnik is reknowned for its Summer theater and Opera, museums, fine dining and cafe bars.
Dubrovnik is easily accessible from the apartment with regular boat trips from the beach (5 min walk) and also by bus (also 5 min walk).

The presence of the Mediterranean climate with the average yearly temp. of 19 Celsius, during summer periods (June-September) from 25-40 Celsius, sea temp of 20-25 Celsius
Dining
Characteristic of Dalmatian coastal cuisine is its digestibility and simple preparation . The fabulous taste of fish, meat or other cooked dishes lies right in that. The grilling and roasting fish and delicacies of the sea in this region has been carried on generation to generation, whereby the proper grilling technique often depends on wood or wood briquettes chosen to do the grilling.
The Cavtat area
Cavtat is a town and port in the southern part of the Zupa Bay, 15 km southeast of Dubrovnik; population 2000. Major tourist attractions include a very pleasant climate, luxuriant vegetation and beautiful shores.
It is a treasure trove of history, art and culture, beautiful beaches all around, fun sporting activities and lively night entertainment. There are many restaurants to choose from, all reasonably priced and provide excellent service.
The apartment is a 5 minutes walk to local beach with crystal clear waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling and fishing. Boats to Dubrovnik and Island tours also go from beach. During high season there is a dive centre, peddal boat and canoe hire.

This is the perfect place for a holiday The apartment was just as described and the views from the balconies were incredible We used the bus service which was close by and very convenient. Cavtat is very picturesque with fantastic retaurants, lovely walks. and the clearest blue water. Dont miss the trip to Dubrovnik by boat and give yourself lots of time to wander in the old town. I paint and felt I was in paradise as there were so many subjects that caught my eye. I will certainly return and would recommend this apartment to anyone . |

Villa Cavtat is a charming spotlessly clean ,well appointed apartment over looking the Adriatic with views to Dubrovnik. Sipping a glass of wine looking out to sea at the sunset over Dubrovnik is unforgettable! The apartment is simply and comfortably furnished and maintained by a helpful friendly caretaker who is on hand at all times. She perfectly represents the friendly hospitible Croatian people. The picturesque walk down to Cavtat town and beach is a steep hike up on the return journey so perhaps not great for those of limited mobility. The upside is peace and quiet and no noise from the large beachside hotels! Self catering for a family would probably require the use of a car for shopping . We as a couple enjoyed a car free week . The guidance notes provided by the owner were concise , accurate and helpful. I would hope to make a return visit. |

Myself and my husband stayed in Villa Cavtat apartment this June and we had such a relaxing time. It started out well when the lovely Ljiljana picked us up from the airport, with only a 10 min journey to the apartment. The most striking thing about the apartment, are the stunning views from the balcony. It is a clean apartment with everything you need and Ljiljana is there with helpful advice and holiday tips. The walk along the coast into Cavtat town is very pleasant and we were spoiled for choice with so many restaurants to choose from (all within walking distance) There is lots to do, whether you want to just relax on the beach or explore the area or take a boat trip to Dubrovnik. We will definitely go back again and bring a fishing rod with us this time...to catch some Mullet! |
