The Dalmatia region

As George Bernard Shaw said, “those who seek Paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik and see it”.

Dubrovnik Riviera is steeped in sunshine and bathed in mild Mediterranean breezes, this part of Croatia is a lush region of beaches, steep reefs, coves, subtropical flora, forested islands and, its crowning jewel, the walled city of Dubrovnik. Off the rocky shores lies the large island of Korcula and idyllic Island of Mljet (National Park) and smaller islands of which the most popular are Lopud, Sipan and Kolocep.

Dubronik, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site with its protected and preserved Old Town, is one of the most beautiful and famous cities in Europe. In addition to a rich history and culture, it offers an abundance of heritage.

The region is famous for its wines, especially those from Pelješac peninsula and Konavle valley, olive oil, fishing and the cultivation of mussels in Ston area. All of these places are within an easy reach by boat, bus or car. Except this beautiful places there are some other fascinating spots to visit as: Trsteno with its botanical garden, beautiful Elaphiti islands, the island of Lokrum, Mlini and Cavtat.

The vicinity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro is also one of the main advantages to spend a holiday in Dubrovnik Riviera.

The place of unique beauties of scenery, beaches and bays, submarine areas, clean environment, antiquities and cultural heritage, rich vegetation and mild Mediterranean climate makes Cavtat desirable tourist destination throughout the entire year.

Discover its beauty as you walk along the streets, harmonious diversity of architecture, summer houses, villas, chapels.

Explore the old part of the town, restaurants, bars, gift shops, along the waterfront. The night life typical for a little town on the coast where cafes and bars represent real entertainment. During the summer the place is buzzing with tourists, who are enjoying till the early hours.

Cavtat also offers a 7 km promenade by pine forests paths only a few meters from the sea, around the peninsulas. The vicinity of the magical old town of Dubrovnik, the unspoilt nature of the Elaphiti Islands and the Mljet National Park, the rich rural landscape of the Konavle region and other local treasures make Cavtat an ideal place for exploring the south of Croatia.

"Lovely penthouse in natural and beautiful spot"

We stayed in Anuska's penthouse for a week and the place truly felt like staying at home. We found that we had everything that we needed and Anuska was there to make sure that we left with a memorable experience. Cavtat is in a peaceful location if you wish to stay away from lively Dubrovnik but there are enough restaurants and cafés to try something new every day. There are pleasant walks in Cavtat and it is very easy to hire a car if you fancy crossing the border to visit gorgeous Montenegro and Bosnia. Both trips highly recommended. There are hardly any dual carriage ways in this part of Croatia so forget about overtaking. Relax, take it all in and enjoy the views as they are one of the finest in Europe.

"Outstanding, modern, comfortable apartment with amazing views."

We stayed in the penthouse at Anuska Apartments and found it excellent in all respects. The apartment was clean and well furnished, with great amenities. It has a small outside space with wonderful views across Cavtat and the bay. The apartment is located approximately 15 mins walk from the town but does include a steep hill. Anuska is a very kind and generous hostess. I strongly recommend this apartment.

"Fabulous welcome - Exceptional apartment"

Anuska is a charming hostess and nothing is too much trouble. The apartment is brand new and all the fittings and facilities are of an extremely high standard. Anuska has been very thoughtful in providing everything you could possibly need! The apartment is in a large imposing building in a quiet road above the town (15 minutes walk down the hill). Cavtat is a wonderful harbour town, close to the airport so its all easy and the 50 minute boat trip across the bay to Dubrovnik is the perfect way to arrive in the walled city. You won't be disappointed! We

Dear Susan and Tim, thank you very much for your lovely review. It means a lot to me. I hope to see you soon in Cavtat.
