Casa Grande is a two storey 4 bedroom air-conditioned an exclusive self catering, luxury villa located in Cavelosim, Goa, a prestigious private development of individually owned villas and cottages nestled in the midst of swaying palms & coconut trees.
Here, one can enjoy a pristine sunrise on an early morning walk against the backdrop of the river.
In the evenings one gets to view a mesmerizing sunset over the Arabian Sea. The small township around Luisa and the beach once again comes to life in terms of fine dining, live music and evening entertainment programmes.
There is usually a grand finale of fire works display near the beach shacks as well every day.

The villa consists of an open plan kitchen/dining area which opens out onto a delightful shady patio and private balconies surrounded by two swimming pools amidst exotic tropical flora and fauna.
Insect screens are installed in all the windows and doors opening to the outside.

Only a 5 minutes stroll away is the idyllic 20 km stretch of powder white sandy, a southern Goan beach, which has much to offer, in terms of authentic Goan delicacies, an array of international cuisine & sports activities such as para gliding, water scooters, banana boat, beach volleyball, dolphin watch etc.
The original fishing community is still here & the small fishing boats still go out to fish everyday. Abundant supply of sea-food!
Besides enjoying the Sun, Sand, Sea and the tropical weather one can also indulge in Ayurvedic massages or a game of golf at the 9 hole golf course at the Leela Palace which is 2 km from Luisa.
A vacation at Luisa-by-the-sea has much to offer both for a person looking for a quiet holiday amidst nature, chirping birds and someone looking for fun filled outdoor activities with fine dining and good music. Don’t forget there is always the barbecue at the shack on the beach.
Within a few meters from the main gate there are four and five star hotels, restaurants, beach shacks, supermarket, wine stores, cyber cafes, money changers, ATM machines, Chemists, fruits/ vegetables stalls and clothing/ leather/ jeweller shops.

Large parties of up to 12, 16 or 20 people can be accommodated by bulk booking 2 or 3 villas together in advance, depending upon the availability.
Rates are available for 3 bedrooms also on request.
Cleaning service 6 days a week is included in the rent. Linen and towels are changed twice a week & pool towels are also provided at no extra cost.

The village church square is the central point, the adjoining narrow and windy streets offer a bit of shade and a romantic walk.

We spent 4 weeks in Casa Grande, which is a a beautiful and very tasteful decorated villa in a villa compound called Luisa by the Sea. There are also 2 shared pools, but we never used them, because of the nearby sea (6 mins walk), which was amazing. Twice we even spotted dolphins very nearby the beach. The house and rooms are really very spacious, the quality of bedlinen and towels etc. very good, the kitchen fully fitted, even with washing machine (Micro, Kettler, ...). In the front & back garden, all kinds of beautiful flowers (and herbs like Tulsi) are blooming, which I know only as miniatures from home. There is even a banana & papaya tree with fruits on it! There is a veranda plus a back porch, which turned out to be my favorite place in the house, to enjoy the sound of nature (birds singing!) in the early mornings. I have been with 2 kids, 4 and 11 months old, and friends & family.We even got a high chair for the baby. The 4 bedrooms are big enough with wardrobes and en suite bathrooms, daily cleaning was included! The housekeeper was very helpful with all our needs (tailor, doctor...), and it was great to have her in the house every day. Casa Grande is just beautiful and excellent for a family or friends stay in Cavelossim. The standard is very high and the cleanliness beyond comparison. AND the heartiness of the owner amazing, even tough we just communicated via e-mail!! Cavelossim is a quite busy small tourist village, you have plenty of restaurants (also some of higher standard). The best is to eat in one of the beach shaks, which have excellent food for a really fair price. You even get nice breakfast there. As I mentioned already, the beach is stunning! It is clean and just beautiful and not too crowded. It is very nice for jogging and walking as well and the kids loved to collect shells! There are lovely dogs on the beach, but they don't harm anyone. The Ayurveda Center near the beach cannot be recommended, they hardly speak english and don't really know about what they do! (it was my personal impression). Also it was difficult to find any Yoga instructor. There are taxis just outside the compound, ask for Sona, he is a nice young guy, who gave us very good rates for our trips (Anjuna, Spice farm, Palolem Beach...). We'll be back this year in Cavelossim, a nice and decent place in South Goa with a good standard and far away from the backpacker and Hippie-Scene. |
