Villa Shanti is a two bedroom self-contained air-conditioned premium villa at Luisa By The Sea, a boutique holiday home complex in South Goa. The complex is located within 400 meters (five minute walk) of the uncluttered Cavelossim beach and shares its eastern boundary with the banks of the Sal river delta. Restaurants, grocers, basic needs stores/chemists, and ATM machines are all within walking distance. Despite its convenient location, Luisa provides a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
As the second home of its owners, Villa Shanti is equipped with all the amenities and comforts to suit self-catering travelers on a tropical beach vacation.

The villa consists of an open kitchen/dining area which opens out onto a front patio surrounded by a garden. One of the two swimming pools at Luisa is right in front of the villa's patio. Insect screens are installed on all windows and doors opening to the outside.

Cavelossim beach is within five minute walking distance to the west of Luisa By The Sea.
The banks of the Sal river delta run along the eastern boundary of the complex. Here you can watch the sun rise, take a boat ride, and watch local fisherman go out to sea.
The complex has well laid out lawns and two swimming pools for residents use only.

• Bed linen and towels are changed twice a week.

Goa is a tropical paradise that lies on the west coast of India bathed by the warm waters of the Arabian sea. It is unique in many ways but mostly due to its history and geography that have left an indelible mark on its people for generations.
Having been ruled by the colonial Portuguese for over 450yrs ( as compared to the rest of India that was ruled by the British for 250yrs) there is still visible a distinct Portuguese flavor that has permeated all aspects of Goa's life including its food, religion, language, festivals, dances and of course names. This becomes apparent as soon as you cross the border to Goa from India or elsewhere. This unique blend of Indian and Portuguese culture is to a large extent what makes Goa and the "Goan" unique. Also unique is the fact that it is one of the few colonies that India ( an ex- colony itself) liberated in 1961.
Renowned for its beaches, places of worship and world heritage architecture, Goa is visited by large numbers of international and domestic tourists each year. It also has rich flora and fauna, owing to its location on the Western Ghats range, which is classified as a biodiversity hotspot. Major Rivers -Tiracol, Chapora, Mandovi, Zuari, Sal and Talpon. Main Beaches - Arambol, Mandrem, Morjim, Vagator, Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Sinquerim, Miramar are major beaches in the North with Majorda, Betalbatim, Colva, Benaulim, Varca, Cavelossim and Palolem in the south. Wildlife Sanctuaries - Bondla, Mollem lie in the eastern forested hilly areas of the state.
The Cavelossim / Luisa by the Sea area
Cavelossim is a small typical Goan village with a picturesque church square and a small store and a telephone shop. Cavelossim village is located on a narrow peninsular on the one side is the peaceful, lazily meandering River Sal and on the other 20 kms of powder white sand beach and the Arabian Sea.
Imagine a place where you can watch the sunrise over the river and the sunset over the sea - the perfect idyllic retreat! It comes as no surprise that this prime spot has been chosen as the location for several five star hotels including The Holiday Inn and The Leela Palace. The original fishing community is still here and small fishing boats still go out to fish everyday.
There is plenty of choice for eating out as some of the best hotels in Goa are located in the area and each has one or two international standard restaurants plus evening entertainment programmes. There are also a number of locally owned restaurants and there is always the barbecue at the shack on the beach.
For golfers there is a 9 hole golf course at the Leela Palace just 2 km from Cavelossim. The course may be used by the hour or by purchasing a pass for 3-5 days.

Stunning position in Cavelossim. Near to shops, restaurants and hotels which all deliver if the heat gets too much to venture out. The large pool on the complex was closed in March for some reason so the small pool got rather crowed at times. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and made the booking process very easy. Would return anytime! |
