About the home

This magnificent finca is located in Catral and is just 5 minutes away from the shops, bars and restaurants. It is about 12 minutes from several different beaches. only 25 minutes from alicante and murcia airports,near to links for motorways to torrevieja,murcia,alicante and cartagena. It is 3 minutes drive from the nearest train station where you can travel throughout spain. The finca is set in a quiet rural setting surrounded by fields growing alfalfa, palm trees, olives and artichokes. The finca consists of 4 double bedrooms, 3 with en-suite, the 5th bedroom has bunk beds that are ideal for children. The dining room has seating for 8 people. The kitchen has all mod cons and is modern and practical.There is a separate detached house in the same grounds with accomodation for 4 people,breifly comprising of 2 double bedrooms,one with a double bed and one with twin beds,a lounge with american kitchen,log burning stove and a double sofa bed,one full bathroom suite and one en-suite shower room to the main bedroom.The private pool with your own bar is ideal for relaxing in the peace and quiet of the countryside or alternativaly listening to music as you sunbathe.In the evening you can enjoy the sunsets and later have drinks at the side of the pool as the pool terrace and bar are subtlely lighted or sing along to the kareoke.

The main finca has a family bathroom with bath and shower facilities and 3 more complete bathrooms en-suite. The lounge has a large sofa, armchair, sat TV and a DVD/video player. There is a log fire for winter. The kitchen is fully fitted with a large fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave ,dishwasher etc. The dining room has seating for 8 people. The separate detached house has 2 bathrooms,1 of them en-suite,lounge,kitchen/diner and a patio outside Near the pool there is a changing room/toilet.Next to the pool you have your own private bar.Childrens games/books. The nearest beach is only a short drive away and there are numerous golf courses near ,the nearest only 10 minutes away.

A magnificent country property set amongst fields with mountain views. The house is decorated in a rustic style to retain the character of the building whilst having all mod cons. Outside there is a patio with 2 bbq 's and seating for 14 people. All double bedrooms have ceiling fans,whilst the lounge and the master bedroom have hot and cold air conditioning, the houses in total are more than 260 metres squared so they are large enough for groups of up to 14 people. There are large gardens planted with various fruit trees, an ornamental pond and views to the church in catral village on one side and mountain views overlooking palm tree plantations to the rest.

The property has hot and cold air conditioning that can be used if required with a pay as you go meter. There is a log fire for winter in the main house and a wood burning stove in the second house.( logs 20 euros per week,paid locally).

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Costa Blanca is situated on Spain's south east coast, belonging to Alicante province. We have two airports, Alicante is the largest and handles flights from all over Europe and the UK. You can visit us in just over two hours.It is about 25 minutes drive from the property.Murcia airport is about the same distance.

Alicante and Murcia
The city of Alicante is worth exploring with its magnificent harbour as well as its large choice of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets. Here you will find a large range of shops and boutiques and many places of interest.

The city of Murcia is again worth a visit for a sample of cuisine and value for money, which is harder to find on the coast. The cathedral is out of this world!

The Catral / Rincon de los Pablos area

There are several different beaches located around Catral and would take you 12 minutes to get there by car. Also there are several golf courses in the area, if you would like a 9 hole course then green lands is the place to go which is just 10 minutes drive away .There is also a golf range where a bucket of balls will cost around 2 euros. If you are a more serious golfer then try La Finca which is located in Algorfa and is about 5-10 minute drive away.

There are plenty of shops,garden centres, markets, bars, restaurants, chemists etc. that are about 5 minutes away from the villa.

Horse riding is also available close by,and coach trips leaving from La Marina or Quesada. Coaches also go to Benidorm where you will find Theme parks, Water parks, these go weekly and in the height of summer they leave twice a week. The nearest water park is only 10 minutes from the property.

There is also a Safari park in Elche which is a great day out for the children, where you can go around the park in a train and have your picture taken with an elephant or even a snake! From nearby santa pola there are ferries to the beautiful island of tabarca where the sea food is a must !! For lovers of wildlife there is the hondo nature reserve wher there are a wide range of tropical birds such as flamingo's and rare eagles to see.

We had a nice quiet time. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and watching the sun go down.
Plenty of bars and restaurants near,but we did'nt need to leave the villa as it had everything we needed.
