Ideally located just south of Elche and close to Alicante international airport, set in a rural location between Alicante & Torrevieja on the coastal plain only minutes drive from the beautiful mountains. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday, full of sunshine, this is the one for you. Fabulous for the whole family, the villa is self contained within it's own 2000 sq metre plot. Just 2 Km from the AP7 motorway with ready access to facilities in ALL directions. If you are looking to get away from the urbanisations and want to be in the countryside in a beautiful rural situation, Then this is the villa for you. Set in a lovely rural location just outside the village of Catral which is typically Spanish, with lots of bars, restaurants, tapas bars and amenities.

Within a short distance of Delores and Almoradi where you will find more great places to eat in the Spanish style. The villa has been well furnished and has a kitchen equipped for your entertaining. A large 10 x 5 metre swimming pool surrounded by mature garden with trees giving you the privacy you would like. Only 20 minute drive to 8 miles of white sandy beaches at Guardamar and Torrevieja with nature parks, salt lagoons, two salt-lakes with Europe's best healing climate (rheumatism, asthma, skin). Trips to Alicante (promenade), Elche (park of palms), Murcia (Gardens, theatre), Cartagena (roman settlement), Mar Menor (inland sea) and hiking in the mountains.

In the main area of this Air Conditioned villa you will find a dining area with table and 6 chairs and the lounge area is equipped with two leather settee's, coffee table, TV with satelite channels and DVD player, fire place.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave and table and chairs. All utensils and crockery and cutlery are on hand as you would expect. Utility room with washing machine.

Close by you will find the town of Dolores with banks, Supermarket and restaurants, shops and bars some offering night time entertainment. Popular local markets are held on Thursdays and Sundays - which is great for all those holiday souvenirs and presents for the family. Spend the morning strolling past the stalls, stop for the odd refreshment or two and then buy a roasted chicken from the stall and venture back home for lunch.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

There is plenty to do for both golfers and non golfers alike, with beaches, water sports, Safari Park, horse riding, shopping and general sightseeing all close by. There are four cities within an hours drive - Alicante to the north, Elche to the north west, Murcia to the west and Cartegena to the south and two major international airports close by - Alicante 15 minutes drive and Murcia 40 minutes drive. This is an area where there is plenty to do with beaches, water sports, Safari Park, horse riding, shopping and general sightseeing all close by. Only 10 minute drive to the city of Elche and within 20 minutes drive from Alicante. 6 championship Golf Courses within 30 minutes drive from this property. Bounded by the beautiful Mediterranean on one side and thousands of acres of fruit groves inland. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and within moments you can be driving in picturesque open countryside, where you can stop and pick a fresh orange or lemon and enjoy the fabulous bounty that nature has gifted to this part of the world.

Elche is the capital of the El Baix district and the Valencian regions third largest city in terms of population. Elche had its original location at L'Alcudia where the bust of the Lady of Elche was found, however the Moors moved the city to its current position, surrounded by groves of palm trees. Today over 300,000 officially protected palm trees in the city lend it a somewhat exotic air. These palms are evident on every street corner and can be especially enjoyed in the well-tended city park and just a short walk away in the Huerto del Cura (Priest's Garden), where a palm in the form of a seven-armed candelabra is a good example of the freaks of nature.

In the historical, old section of the city amongst the most interesting sights are the Altamira Palace, the Basilica of Santa Maria, the Moorish fortress and the Moorish Baths.

The Catral / Arroba Madrigueria area

Catral is a small town in the heart of the Vega Baja. The fertile lands around Catral mean that the area relies largely on agriculture for its subsistence. The Hondon Reservoir is nearby and there are various trails that lead to it, allowing enjoyable walks through the countryside. Catral has many tapas bars, restaurants, schools, shops and beautiful parks. It even hosts a hot air balloon ride which is a spectacular trip. Catral has a small weekly market held on a Saturday where you can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables, clothes, shoes and flowers.
