About the home

It’s a completely furnished and comfortable two-storey apartment with a kitchen, a bedroom and 2 bathrooms, a mansard on the second floor. Wide terraces with view on a tropical and Mediterranean garden, perfect for relaxing, getting tanned and reading. There’s also a barbecue for cooking the local fresh fish. Garage for the car and bikes for our guests are available for free.

Quite near the area there’s Etnaland, the biggest Sicilian aquatic amusement park.

Torre Archirafi is situated in a very favourable place, at a short distance from all the most important turistic and cultural sites of Eastern Sicily: Acireale (12 km), Catania (25 km), Noto( km), where you can see the famous sicilian baroque, Taormina (15 km) Piazza Armerina and Siracusa (100 km), known all over the world because of their rich history, their wonderful panorama and for being used as important film location.
And of course there are the Alcantara Gorge and the Volcano - Etna, with the river, a lot of beautiful paths through the forest, near the lava flows. In winter you can also ski on its slopes.

Few meters far from the apartment you’ll find the beautiful promenade along the seafront, now enriched by a panoramic cycle track. Two bikes waits for you inside our car box!
Two kilometers away from Torre Archirafi there’s the turistic port of Riposto and a big and tipical mediterranean fish market, open all days in the morning!

The price includes: - final cleaning and linen weekly; - electricity, water, gas; - kitchen utensils, soap and detergent for dishes ; - reception service on your arrival in Torre Archirafi.
The account of 25% of the total price is requested for the booking.

In order to reserve an equal deposit of 25% of the total figure is demanded like account, to pay through banking discount.

The reservation will be accepted only if accompanied from the ends of the happened payment of the warehouse. The rest of the figure goes cash paid directly to the Villa at the moment of your arrival.

The Sicily region

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean, rich in history, culture, art and natural beauty. Riposto is located in the province of Catania, near the volcano Etna and the Ionian coast. The area around Catania posses a large variety of flowers and the sincerity of its habitans is impressing. Also Goehte knew about the beauty of this Island, Taormina and the area around that vulcano etna to appreciate.
The volcano itself is the largest throughout Europe. and one of the most active fire mountains of the world. It is ca. 3450 meters high and impressed 2002 on 2003 entirely Catania and the remainder of the world. It was altogether four months especially active and appeared of a new side. The Catania / Riposto area

RipostoRiposto is a town of nearly 14,000 located on the coast, only 6 m a.s.l., the Etna Volcano rising behind it.

The name of the town means depot or storehouse, as it was a place where goods were deposited nearthe port prior to being shipped.

The province of Catania comprises fifty-eight cities totalling an extension of 3,552 square kilometres and over a million inhabitants. Catania is most renowned for its neighboring, European’s highest, and still active, volcano, that has played a decisive role in the city’s history. Catania has survived numerous disasters – as were several eruptions and at least three big earthquakes numbering victims in the thousands – always regaining its former splendor.

Also renowned is the city’s devotion to its patron Sant’Agata, celebrated on 3 February by a procession of “Candelore”, huge candles carried by the devotees, preceded by a wooden chandelier where are portrayed scenes of the saint’s martyrdom. Other processions take place on the following days.

Catania is renowned for being the birth-place of illustrious figures, such as musician Vincenzo Bellini and writer Giovanni Verga (born at Vizzini), and boasts an important culinary tradition that much owes to the province’s thriving agriculture. Much appreciated are the “pizze” and the “scacciate” (kinds of local pastries) and the seafood and fish cuisine, notably along the seaside

“Great apartment” We spent 3 days in this apartment, it's very nice, in a quiet place with all the comfort you can ask. Great hospitality!!! We had 4 bikes to ride around the near towns. we're very happy in this place, hope to come back to the same apartment but more time.

“Wonderful Apartment” We spent 4 nights in Casa dei Gerani, and it is a lovely apartment, with everything we could ask for: good facilities, a quiet location, a great welcome from the owners, and easy access to Mount Etna, Giardini Naxos, and Acireale.

Sobre todo quiero realzar los detalles que que la familia R. tuvo con nosotros, dejándonos información turística de toda la isla, tomándose incluso la molestia de buscarnos información en nuestro idioma. Fue una sorpresa encontrar un cesto de fruta fresca y alimentos básicos (azúcar, café, zumo, pasta....) que nos vinieron muy bien antes de hacer nuestra primera compra. No tenemos más que palabras de gratitud para toda la familia R. y un grato recuerdo de nuestro paso por su casa. Recomendaremos su casa a amigos que quieran visitar Sicilia.
