This beautiful stone finished villa, furnished to a very high standard (completed 2007), offers a meet & greet service and has spectacular views of the sea and Besmarpak mountain range, it is an ideal holiday location with a large private pool. Although fairly isolated, Catalkoy has an abundance of shops and restaurants and is only a few min walk from the beach. Located a 5 min drive from both the picturesque harbour town of Kyrenia and the Alagadi turtle beach.
Choose sun or shade on one of three railed terraces for that Al fresco experience or BBQ. Airport pick up can be arranged.

The Kyrenia District
There are local shops for milk, fresh bread etc. close by on the main coast road. Lemar supermarket is on the coast road approaching Kyrenia, with Tempo, Astro supermarkets and a weekly (wed) food market in Kyrenia.
A walk round Kyrenia the most pleasant resort on the Island (<10 mins) is highlighted by the beauty of its horseshoe shaped harbour said to be one of the best in the med, a great place to sit, eat, chill and watch the world go by. The castle is of special interest, originally built in Roman times, the mostly Venetian buildings include a Byzantine chapel and a museum of shipwrecks, housing the worlds oldest shipwreck and its cargo.
Take a walk round the maze of back streets its like going back in time, with its atmospheric courtyard cafes. Clubs are many and varied, in the height of the summer the Open air clubs are fantastic, with dancing on the beach till the early hours. Taxis are never a problem and have meters. The capital, Nicosia, is only 20 min drive/bus ride away where you can join excursions and day trips to the rest of Cyprus. With two divided sectors, Turkish and Greek. You can walk across the border to the other side of the Island, but remember your passport.
Trodos is the biggest Mountain range of Cyprus, located in the centre of the island. The highest peak is Mount Olympus (1,952m). With many famous mountain resorts, Byzantine Monastries, Churches on Mountain peaks and picturesque villages clinging to terraced hill slopes in the valleys. With many old towns dotted around the area with beautiful antiquities architecture. With ancient history, churches, tombs and monuments surrounded by a rich tapestry of history and culture, there is something for everyone. The Bellapais Abbey and Tree of Idleness, the fairytale Castle of St Hilarion perched dizzily thousands of feet above the bay of Kyrenia, Salamais beautiful Roman and Greek ruins, the Mosque in Nicosia and the Farmagusta old fortifications are all well worth a visit. The 12th century Bellapais Abbey set on the side of a mountain has a tremendous vantage point with an excellent restaurant to enjoy various local dishes.
With over 300 days of sunshine a year, Northern Cyprus boasts a Med climate with temps of around 30 deg c in the summer time. In April and May the countryside is at its most beautiful with fields of wild flowers in full bloom with weather like a good English summer. June, July and August are the hottest months and ideal for sun-worshippers. Sept and Oct are very popular months when the weather is still wonderfully warm and rarely below 80 deg F. The winters are mild and even in March the temp can reach into the 70's making it a great spot for a winter break. The average sea temperature is above 20 deg C for more than half the year.
To travel to the south of the Island a passport is required, visit Pathos, Limasool, Larnaca and AyiaNapa.
Catalkoy area
Only a few mins drive away from the villa lies the Turkish Cypriot village of Catalkoy. Catalkoy boasts some of the best and most popular speciality restaurants in Northern Cyprus. The cuisine is rich, varied and reasonably priced. Chinese, Indian, Italian and Mexican restaurants mean you will never be stuck for choice. Catalkoy beach has a beach bar, loungers and parasols for hire and a dive board into the sea. There are numerous other secluded and sandy coves and beaches within 10-15 mins drive. Catalkoy football ground lies on the coast road.

Cyprus is the most successful breeding ground for the green and logger head Turtles in the Med. With 46 nesting grounds. July and Aug see the baby turtles hatch. There is a nature reserve on the Karpaz peninsular with long sandy empty beaches. Keep an eye open for griffon vultures, foxes, fruit eating bats, sea turtles and wild donkeys.
Acapulco complex with its private golden sandy beach and shallow crystal clear waters has all facilities including water sports (10 mins). Vogue water sports facility is also worth a visit, with private beach, night club and its unique restaurant on a pier (2 mins).
Local activities are extensive including, sight seeing, swimming, snorkelling, diving, sailing, fishing, water skiing, tennis, rambling, mountain climbing, casinos and a gun club. Horse riding is avab at the Catalkoy stables. Para gliding, scuba diving and deep sea excursions can be booked in Kyrenia (10 mins) and go-kart racing. The Golf course in Esentepe at the foot of the Five Finger Mountain Range is a Championship standard 18 hole par 72 course. The Korineum Golf and Country Club is carved from a natural forest of Umbrella Pines and Olive trees, with stunning views of the Mediterraneum Sea on one side and the Mountain Range on the other. The spacious beautifully furnished lounge, comfortably seating 8, has a large flat screened TV with UK programmes, and access to all 3 terraces with their panoramic views.

Airport pick ups can be arranged, a hire car can be delivered to your door the first morning of your stay. Cost of journey to and from Ercan Airport (£35 each way). Changeover days are flexible with check out at 10am (also negotiable). A welcome pack is provided on arrival. Our representative will call on the first morning of your stay and is on hand throughout your stay should any problem arise. Linen and Towels changed weekly. Strictly no smoking except on the balconies. Driving is on the LHS, English is widely spoken, currency Turkish Lire or Sterling.
Conditions
Prices include bedding & towels inc. beach towels, electric / water. A deposit of 25% on booking with the balance due 8 weeks prior to your holiday. A security deposit of £150 is also required which will be cashed 1 week before your stay and returned within 2 weeks of the end of your holiday.
