The accommodation is light and airy with comfortable and attractive furnishings. The kitchen, dining room and lounge are open plan. The lounge and master bedroom have patio doors on to the large terrace which also has an ample covered area for hot summer days. All the bedrooms have air conditioning and fitted wardrobes with shelving and the master bedroom is en suite. The house is generally very well equipped and provides everything needed for a relaxing holiday for couples or families.
Korfez Beach is within walking distance with facilities including a restaurant. The more highly developed Acapulco beach is 5 minutes away by car.

The Kyrenia District
Cyprus occupies a stategic position in the eastern Mediterranean and has throughout the ages been subject to the influences of various invaders giving the island a unique history. The Roman empire left behind it much of interest including the ruined city of Salamis and parts of Famagusta. These varied historical sights are worthy of a visit. We particularly like Bellapais abbey with its panoramic view of the coast and St Hilarion Castle and of course, Kyrenia Harbour.
Nature has also been kind to north Cyprus with its lovely, sometimes rugged coastline, with various secluded and sandy beaches and interesting flora and fauna. The Karpaz peninsula is still relatively unspoilt and sparsely populated. Cyprus has a wonderful climate with over 300 days of sunshine a year. It has long hot dry summers and short mild winters.
Catalkoy area
There are shops nearby which will cater for most needs. There are also a variety of restaurants which have good menus at reasonable prices and lots of choice. There are of course a large number of shops and restaurants in Kyrenia itself, which is a 10 minute drive westwards along the coast.
All the usual beach activities are available including paragliding and sub aqua in the clear waters.
The lovely new golf club and hotel is 10/15mins away towards Esentepe. There are also waterslides near Catalkoy in season and horseriding at Catalkoy stables
Korfez beach and restaurant are a short walk away.
You may however want to do nothing more energetic than sit by the pool or sit with a drink admiring Kyrenia harbour.
How to get there
Fly to Ercan (N. Cyprus) or to Larnaca (Southern Cyprus) where you will be met at the airport and driven to the property. Flights to Ercan (via Antalya, Turkey) are available at many UK airports during the summer and shoulder months but less so during winter months. Flights to Larnaca are available year round from many UK airports.

The bedrooms have air conditioning while the lounge and dining room have ceiling mounted fans plus two moveable standard fans. There is excellent storage space in all bedrooms and the master bedroom has a personal safe. The kitchen has an open outlook over farmland to the sea., is well fitted with extensive granite worktops, dishwasher,washing machine and microwave and has a generous supply of crockery, cutlery and pans.
Further details outdoors: The property is one of eight in a semi rural setting below Catalkoy but on level ground with its own spacious landscaped garden, terraces and private swimming pool. The swimming pool area has a good dining area with table with 6 chairs parasols and loungers and built in barbecue.
Conditions
Long lets will be considered and in low season months a discount offered. While the property does not comply with strict criteria for wheelchair users it is the case that there are only two entry steps to be negotiated and thereafter everything inside and on the terrace is at the same level.
