Villa Cyprioli is the perfect location for your holiday; a luxurious and spacious detached homely villa with breathtaking uninterrupted views of the sea and the surrounding mountains in quiet and relaxing Buffavento Village below the Buffavento Castle. On the outskirts of Catalkoy, the villa is set in its own secure garden with indigenous shrubs, flowers, trees and even vegetables. A private 8m x 4m overflow pool surrounded by a terrace on all sides with sun loungers and a pool shower enables you to maximally enjoy the gorgeous weather in Cyprus.. A separate large ouside dining area with stone barbecue and a lawned area adds to the entertaining/relaxing space. The large villa has two levels; downstairs is open plan with lots of light and spacious giving way to the comfortable lounge, its gracious dining room and a fully fitted kitchen next to it.

The lounge has a cozy and relaxing fireplace with a large flat screen TV, CD/radio and a collection of board games. Sliding doors lead from the dining and sitting areas to a spacious terrace overlooking the pool, sea and garden. Upstairs has 3 double bedrooms which are all airconditioned with 2 balconies with sea and/or mountain views, a shower/bath/WC. The two bedrooms have king size beds and the third bedroom has 2 lare sinle beds in total for a group of 6 people.

High quality bath and pool towels provided. The property will be cleaned before your arrival. Additional cleaning can be arranged at your own cost. Cleaning products available in the villa.

Outside
Large garden with indigenous trees, shrubs, flowers, herbs and vegetables that you are free to enjoy. Private pool is 8mx4m with a poolside shower. Sun loungers and a parasol is available. A clothes hanger is also present. There are also 2 huge communal pools 1 min walk away in the complex if you want to have more people around. Neighbours all own their villas and are very nice and friendly.

Booking notes:
Please email or telephone. Our villa is managed by my family who can help you as needed. A 25% deposit required at the time of booking, the remainder due 8 weeks before departure. £200 returnable bond against breakages, damage or extra cleaning, refunded to you one week after the end of your holiday. Payment into a UK bank account. Electricity is very expensive in Northern Cyprus. If higher than 10 GBP/week, this will be taken off the deposit or you can pay cash before your departure. A welcome pack of food and drink with additional notes on my favourite restaurants, cafes, bars, places to visit and logistics will wait for you on your arrival.

I am a Cypriot doctor and live in the Netherlands and bought this as a holiday villa to use when i am in Cyprus which is 4-5 times a year. My retired parents and my brother look after it and also stay there on and off which gives it the homely feel with nearly everything tha t you may look for in your house being available here.

We can arrange taxis from Ercan and also Larnaca both ways if you need. I would recommend a hire car to make sure you enjoy the island as i do when there; visit Golden Sand Beach in Karpasia, the orange plantations in Guzelyurt and Lapta, go up to Karmi for a late evening drink with views that never leave you, a Cypriot coffee and custard in Nicosia old town... hope we can make your stay a good one and make sure you come back to this unique island of the Mediterranean with thousands of years of multicultural influences.

If you are staying for more than 2 weeks, a discount will be available depending on the season. Prices recently pulled down due to global economic downturn.

The Kyrenia region

The village of Catalkoy is a mile away and Ozankoy is 1.5 miles. Both have small shops, mini-markets and restaurants. Large supermarkets within 3 miles of the villa. The town of Kyrenia, with its picturesque harbour is 5 miles away. Karpasia nature reserve with Apostolos Andreas Monastery (St Andrew's tomb) is 90 min drive away, Famagusta with Othello Castle is 1 hr, Nicosia 30 min, Lapta 30 min, Venetian Buffavento and St Hilarion castles towering the two highest peaks are a must to visit.

The Catalkoy / Buffavento Village area

Coast/Beach: Our local beach, Catalkoy beach, is only 5 minutes away. It is a sheltered sandy cove with bar, loungers and parasols for hire and diving board into the sea and is great for snorkeling. The Acapulco complex has water sports facilities & is 10 minutes drive. The Turtle Beach, famous turtle preservation project, is 15 minutes east of Catalkoy and is well worth a visit, especially if you have children. Hatching season of the sea-turtles is from mid-May until mid-October.

Golf: There is a new 18 hole golf course now open at Esentepe 15 minute drive from villa.

Special interest holidays: There are plenty of cookery courses, walking/hiking tours, paragliding available near Kyrenia. A travel guide such as Lonely Planet and others provide more details.

Turkish Airlines, Atlasjet, Pegasus, Corendon fly to Ercan Airport in Northern Cyprus. These flights touch down in Turkey for approx 20-40 minutes. The villa is a 45 min drive away from Ercan. All large Airlines (British Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Cyprus Airways, Monarch, Thomas Cook and various airlines from many regional airports) fly to Larnaca in the South. The villa is a 90 min drive away from Larnaca and we can arrange transfer by taxi from either airport and can provide details for car hire.
