Ridge View Villa is approximately 3 minutes drive from two of the most beautiful beaches on the Island and arguably in the world, Bottom Bay and Crane beach. There is easy access to local shops and amenities which are a short drive away. Local transport buses are 5 minutes walk from the villa.

The villa is furnished to a high standard. Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning views furnished with table and chairs for al fresco dining. With one double, en suite, bedroom and two twin bedrooms (can be made into doubles), the villa is an ideal comfortable and cost effective way for families or large groups to explore one of the most beautiful of Caribbean islands.

The Villa and Studio will have a private pool that will be completed December 2009.

The St Philip Parish region

Barbados is a Caribbean island with a warm to hot temperature throughout the year. It has a population of approximately 300,000 and the local people are known for their hospitality and high level of service given to visitors to the island.

A former British colony which has retained many British customs and many aspects of British culture. Many tourists are very happy on the island and return year after year. The island has many places of interest linked to its colonial past as well as opportunities for modern pastimes such as playing golf. The beaches are said to be among some of the best in the world.

Casuarina Estate area

St Philip is on the East coast of the island and boasts some of the most beautiful beaches of Barbados which are within 3 minutes drive from the villa, namely Bottom Bay and the Crane. The sea on this side of the Island is particularly good for surfing and sun bathing with spectacular beaches and scenery. The villa itself has splendid unrestricted views of the Bajan countryside.

A short bus or car drive brings you to the Emerald City Shopping Centre with a large supermarket which sells all you would need for a self catering holiday. There is also a video rental store which rents videos for a small fee.

The Crane Hotel close by has one of the best restaurants on the island. There is also a local Chinese Restaurant as well as a number of less expensive local eateries. A longer bus ride or car drive will bring you to St Lawrence Gap with countless restaurants and evening entertainment.

For daytime activities 15 minutes drive away is the Barbadian golf club, a rum distillery and the Ocean Park. Ten minutes drive away is the 300 year old historic Sunbury plantation house. The villa is therefore uniquely placed to enjoy both daytime and evening activities.

How to get there

Grantley Adams airport is a comfortable 20 minutes drive (3 km) from the villa.

There will always be someone to meet and greet at the airport and immediately after at the villa.

Pick up can be arranged if preferred but car hire is advised to make the most of the island.

There are always local taxis available from the airport if preferred.

This is a large spacious open plan villa boasting high wooden ceilings which keeps the living area naturally cool.

From the balcony you look out onto the countryside featuring horses, sheep and cows and the occasional family of monkeys out for an afternoon stroll.

You can sit inside with a book, listen to music or watch TV or a film with this beautiful backdrop or you can sit on the balcony and observe the morning, afternoon or evening slowly pass by.

The villa is placed on a ridge which gives a warm breeze all day and all night.

The terrace to the back of the villa overlooks panoramic views of the countryside.
