About the home

An inviting and stylish detached villa ideal for relaxing with family and friends and only a few minutes drive to the golden sands of Alagoa beach and the superb restaurants of Altura and Praia Verde and nestled in between the resort of Monte Gordo to the east and Tavira to the west.

Every consideration for comfort has been taken in creating an ideal home from home in the sun. Experience the outdoor life in comfort in your own landscaped gardens watch the children play in their own pool. Barbecue to your heart's content relaxing on beautiful garden furniture.

Lounge in or out of the sun on the two sun terraces and around your own 10m x 5m swimming pool. Relax on the beautiful beaches which are breath-taking with miles of golden sand. Wheelchair access.

Once you enter this beautiful luxurious villa you will be amazed how bright and stylish every room is. The hall is spacious and full of light leading to the lounge on your right where it is inviting and tastefully decorated, coffee tables, fireplace, double doors leading to garden and terrace,TV/DVD and satelite.

Across the hall is the master double bedroom which includes a full mirror fitted wardrobe, stylish en suite and double doors leading to garden.

The family bathroom is very modern and has a lovely added feature of glass bricks to share the light. The first downstairs twin bedroom includes a mirror fitted wardrobe and large window, the second twin bedroom has a double patio door leading to the pool. The kitchen is very bright with granite worktops including all the facilities and modern appliances.

Upstairs has twin/triple bedrooms with en suite. The large landscaped garden has private pool and kiddies pool, loungers, BBQ and seating. All the bathrooms are very modern.

The villa is based on the ground floor with a lovely front facing balcony on the first floor with stunning 360 degree views of the mountains, sea and beach. The garden has lawns and fruit trees.

Built in BBQ with stone garden furniture and sun loungers giving ample relaxation both in and out of the sun and for your alfresco dining. Flight of steps takes you to a further sun terrace with taste-full stone furniture and commanding views to the sea. Bask away in the sun or relax in the shade and with cool water to plunge into in your own 10m x 5m swimming pool, with adjoining children's pool.

We also require €300 guarantee deposit before or on arrival which we return one week after departure.

We try to be very flexible with changeover days and accommodate our guests on arrival and departure of their flights. Usual times for the villa to be vacated: 10am on day of departure. Arrival after 4pm. Will confirm times by e-mail prior to arrival.

The Algarve / East Algarve region

Altura has all the amenities and a vast choice in good restaurants, bars and pavement cafes as well as a superb beach that isn't too crowded. 10 min drive you have Tavira, which remains an authentic and charming tapestry of old and new.

Monte Gordo is a nice area of East Algarve with its vast array of cafes, bars and restaurants and Casino and a good choice of shops. The nearest supermarket is in Altura only 5 min drive.

Not to be missed is the hop over the Guardiana river to Spain and Ayamonte, 15 min by car. Seville is only 1 hour away. 3 Kms to Cacela Velha and Fabrica - not to be missed - the views rival the Bahamas only 5 min drive away.

Vila Real, the last town in Portugal is renowned for linen and towels. There are so many little towns and villages all only 5/10 min drive and Altura being the heart of them all.

The Castro Marim / Altura area

1.5 km from the villa to the beautiful beaches of Alagoa, Manta Rota and Praia Verde. The best thing about these beaches is that their not too crowded and they all have good beach restaurants.

5 min drive to Altura a pretty seaside village with bars, cafes & restaurants. There are many blue flag beaches in this area. Miles of golden sand stretching to Vila Real and Tavira Island. The beaches are all within 5/10 minute drive of the villa all with excellent facilities and beach restaurants.

Stunning scenery at Cacela Velha and Fabrica. Beach activities at Monte Gordo. An unparalleled rural setting! 500 metres to a delightfully restored old coach-house restaurant. You will not be disappointed with the cuisine of this area.

5 minutes car drive away are Benamor golf course, Quinta da Cima and Quinta da Ria. Beautifully maintained golf courses, par 72, around 5,500 - 6110 m, 18 hole well situated with coastal views. Monte Rei now opened tipped to be the best course in Europe within 2 years only 5 minutes away .Castro Marim 5 minutes drive and the new Quinta Do Vale only 10 minutes drive. Car hire is essential and an advantage for seeing all the beauty and places of interest this region has to offer.

A bus stop is located outside the villa. From there, buses go to a choice of destinations.

"What a fantastic villa, it was everything it said it was. Plenty of space, bright and very clean. The villa is decorated lovely with very comfortable furniture. The kitchen is nice and bright and leads right to the pool. We were only 5 mins drive to the beach and the Altura town, where there is everything you want, lovely restaurants and a take-away. We enjoyed our time at the villa so much we stayed alot our evenings having a BBQ and a quiet drinlk by the pool as at night it is all lit up. I definely recommend this villa to all holiday makers!"
