Luxury spacious villa with views across open countryside, just 3km from the beautiful, unspoilt beach of Praia Verde, close to the village of Sao Bartolomeu, and 5 minutes from Castro Marim and Altura. Within 15 min of the lively holiday resort of Monte Gordo.
The ground floor has the main double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, 2 further double bedrooms, each with two twin or one double bed, and further bathroom. The 4th Bedroom is upstairs in an open gallery area and sleeps two on a sofabed.
The lounge is large open-plan with leather sofas, sofa bed, satellite TV with full BBC free view + local channels + DVD player. Large fully equipped kitchen and utility room incl dishwasher, microwave, cappuccino maker, oven, large fridge and washing machine. Highchair and travel cot also provided. Upstairs has 4th bedroom with access to a large roof terrace.
The villa is extremely comfortable and is air-conditioned throughout. Outside is a private swimming pool, landscaped gardens, barbeque, alfresco dining area and a children's play area.

The Algarve / East Algarve region
Further afield, Faro, the beautiful beaches of Praia de Rocha and fun water parks are 40-60 minutes away. Seville is approx 11/2hr away. Villa Real has a marina, ferryboat to Spain and is noted for its shops specialising in towels, table and bed linen. It also has large supermarkets and a local market with fresh fruit, vegetables and fish. Cycles can be hired to ride through the pine forests to the neighbouring town of Villa Real do St Antonio, approx 3km away.
The nearest shopping centres are the Forum Algarve, in Faro and Algarve Shopping, in Albufeira.
Castro Marim / Quinta do Sobral area
The villa is located on the edge of a large nature reserve, close to the Castro Marim bird sanctuary. It is 15min from the holiday resort of Monte Gordo, with it sweeping golden beach and large walkways. Monte Gordo has a variety of cafes and restaurants, including traditional Portuguese, Chinese, Indian, Goan and even Dutch food and is v child-friendly. There are 4 lovely golf courses within 15 min of the villa and a short drive across the Spanish border takes you to the quaint Spanish village of Ayamonte.
There is a local market every morning next to the town hall in Villa Real where you can buy local produce and freshly-caught fish. There is also a cinema in the Forum Algarve that shows some English language films.
Cycling, mountain biking, water skiing, wind surfing, fishing, swimming, golf, tennis, horse riding, sailing, walking, clay pigeon shooting are all activities available nearby the villa. Here are just some of the water parks and entertainment parks in the Algarve: The Big One, Porches; Atlantic Park, Quarteira; Aqua Show, Quarteira; Krazy World - an amusement park with mini-golf course, animal encounters, Algoz; Roma Golf Park, Vilamoura; Zoo Marine - with dolphin, seal, sea lion and parrot shows, Guia/Albufeira.
The nearest course is Castro Marim Golfe, an 18 hole course which costs approx 58 Euros per 18 hole game; packages of 3 or 6 games are 130 or 232 Euros respectively. Buggy hire is available for 35 Euros, club hire is 30 Euros. The course is 10 minutes from the Villa. It is possible to book packages at the other courses that are all within 20 minutes of the villa. How to get there
We always use either http//www.easyjet.co.uk or http://www.ba.com on occasion we have used monarch airlines. Off season a family of four can travel for less than £250 in peak season that will rise to £600 - £800. We always use Avis at Faro airport, their rates are good and the sevice is great. Our villa is 35 minutes from the airport.
