Château Lavoureux is a very pretty renaissance château cottage set in the heart of the verdant rolling countryside of Lauragais.
The château cottage is located in the grounds of the Château Lavoureux estate, and is available for exclusive hire, providing luxury accommodation for up to six guests in two spacious bedrooms. The immaculately presented interiors have been lovingly renovated using locally sourced period furnishings and traditional techniques, to create a beautiful château cottage that blends harmoniously with its surrounds. The lovingly maintained gardens are a joy to discover, with a charming boxwood labyrinth, wisteria and fragrant rosemary. There is also a heated 20m outdoor swimming pool and wonderful south-facing stone terrace for dining al fresco.

Cleaning is included in the rental price - two hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Additional services are also available upon request, at €15 per hour, such as cleaning, laundry and shopping.
The owners are happy to cater for your holiday stay, and can prepare a three course arrival dinner for €35 per person. Or alternatively a light arrival dinner will be available at €25 per person. Additional 3 course meals available at €25 per person. Breakfast can also be served for €14 per person.
There is a once weekly linen change on Friday included, and additional changes of bed linen can be arranged at €20 per bed.
The Midi-Pyrenees / Tarn region
The town has a military school founded by Louis XIV with a good restaurant serving a delicious daube de Sanglier. Other delights for the gourmet palate include cassoulet, foie gras, magret de canard, and delicious local cheeses. There are also some very good wines to try in some of the restaurants in the area.
The Castres area
Château Lavoureux is located near a town, which holds a very good Saturday market selling great local produce.
The military school also holds musical recitals and even an annual dog show, which are quite entertaining diversions.
