Castletownshend is a beautiful village on the South West coast of Ireland located in County Cork . County Cork in the South-West Ireland is one of the most attractive holiday areas in Ireland. Castletownshend is steeped in history and is quite a fascinating place to visit. The large houses, dating back three or four centuries, are well maintained. St Barrahane's church is a must on your visit to the Village.
There are many wonderful walks around and the Village boasts a beautiful harbour fjord that welcomes many visiting pleasure craft every summer and is home to local fishermen's boats. Knockdrum Fort and The Three Fingers show the rich tapestry that is Ireland's past.

Fly to Cork Airport - Castletownshed is 90 Km or 1- 1 1/2 hoursjourney time from Cork. Airport and house both west of City Centre.
Ferries - Direct Routes to Cork are from Swansea and France. Other ferry routes to Ireland include Pembroke and Fishguard to Rosslare and Holyhead to Dublin.
