Delightful cottage in the middle of the lovely Peak District. The cottage is warm & comfortable - everything you could want has been thought of. The enormous double bed is fantastic. The cottage has its own parking space as well which is an enormous advantage (we were there on a busy bank holiday weekend). Great walks nearby. The village has some good pubs to eat in but if you cook in the cottage, remember the gas aga-type oven needs 45 minutes to warm up the first time you use it. That is our only caveat - otherwise it was the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in (& we have been in many). Response: Thank you for your comments, im glad you had a lovely time, Noorea x |

Myself and my boyfriend stayed for a week at Little Lilac cottage at the start of November and had the most lovely time. The cottage is very well equipped with all that is needed for a very comfortable weeks stay. The location is perfect for local walks and on a cold winter night there is nothing better than coming back to the cottage to have a nice cuppa and sit in front of the fire. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to relax but also likes a few walks! Response: Thank you very much for your kind comments and we look forward to welcoming you both back to Little Lilac Cottage very soon, Noorea x |

"A beautifully appointed cottage in a breath taking village. We loved the sense of history and tried to imagine the lives of the cottagers of by-gone days and marvelled at 900 years of Christian worship and service in the church. We didn't have a car and didn't need it - the village is so interesting. It was the perfect relaxation after a dash round Europe, thank you !"
