Castlerock also offers many activities including golf, fishing, cycling, watersports, pony trekking and gliding nearby.The apartment has a spacious lounge/ kitchen/ diner with a large window over-looking the sea. Tastefully furnished in a contemporary style, the accommodation comprises one double room with patio doors and en suite, and one twin room, also bathroom.The kitchen has lots of work surfaces as well as a good range of appliances, however, if you prefer to dine out there are several restaurants and bars in Castlerock and nearby Coleraine.

Seven miles of beach stretch from Downhill to Magilligan Point, from where you can travel by ferry to Donegal. You can travel by train from Castlerock to Londonderry and see some wonderful scenery in comfort. While in the city of Londonderry you can view the historic city walls which were built in 1619, with the original cannon. You can also enjoy shopping in the many retail outlets the city has to offer or take a cruise on the River Foyle. 20km from the apartment is the town of Limavady, which is most famous for 'The Londonderry Air'. Roe Valley Country Park is a lovely place for walks beside the river and has one of the best Salmon rivers in Europe. 8km from the apartment is Ulster's only gliding club which offers the ultimate flying experience to both members and vistors. Castlerock areaCastlerock is a quiet seaside resort with a lovely sandy beach, the perfect place for a relaxing break. Activities include walking, fishing, boating, surfing, or golfing. The golf club is only a fifteen minute walk from the apartment as are shops and other amenities. There are many interesting places to explore in and around Castlerock. Hezlett House, at the Castlerock crossroads, is a 17th century thatched cottage with guided tours available. Downhill Castle is the ruin of a palace built around 1780 by the Earl Bishop of Derry, Frederick Hervey. Close by on the edge of the cliff more than 100ft above the sea is the Mussenden Temple also built by Hervey as a library. it was modelled on the Temple of Vesta at Tivoli. Each year it is the venue for a Midsummer Evening Concert and is also available for Wedding ceremonies. Castlerock is on the Causeway Coastal route which passes through the lovely seaside towns of Portstewart, Portrush and Portballintrae.
