The County Derry region
County Derry is an excellent place to visit for both coastal and rural scenery. Seven miles of beach stretch from Downhill to Magilligan Point, from where you can travel by ferry to Donegal. You can travel by train from Castlerock to Londonderry and see some wonderful scenery in comfort. While in the city of Londonderry you can view the historic city walls which were built in 1619, with the original cannon. You can also enjoy shopping in the many retail outlets the city has to offer or take a cruise on the River Foyle. 20km from the apartment is the town of Limavady, which is most famous for 'The Londonderry Air'. Roe Valley Country Park is a lovely place for walks beside the river and has one of the best Salmon rivers in Europe. 8km from the apartment is Ulster's only gliding club which offers the ultimate flying experience to both members and vistors. Further inland at Glenullin, near Garvagh, guided walks are available in the hills.

Close by on the edge of the cliff more than 100ft above the sea is the Mussenden Temple also built by Hervey as a library. it was modelled on the Temple of Vesta at Tivoli. Each year it is the venue for a Midsummer Evening Concert and is also available for Wedding ceremonies. We had a great time in Castlerock. Your apartment is beautiful & well equipped & has the added bonus of being in a fantastic location. We will certainly recommend it to friends. Thanks again!! Susan & family Belfast
Just a quick email to let you know how much we enjoyed our very relaxing and 'chilled out' week's holiday at your apartment at Ocean View. The apartment was spotless, extremely comfortable and so very well equipped. However, the location just made our holiday! We were delighted to have the beautiful beach, which we walked every day, practically on our doorstep, with stunning sea views from the large lounge and bedroom windows - as the kids would say - awesome! Thank you once again for helping to make our holiday so very enjoyable and we look forward to our next visit in the not too distant future. M & L McDowell Belfast
