The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

For the walker, the North Pembrokeshire coast has the Pembrokeshire coastal footpath running through some stunning scenery, this can be tackled in manageable stages, or circular walks.

For the golfer, there are a whole variety of courses, within a short drive, these include both links and parkland, these are located in the areas of St Davids, Newport (Pembs), Cardigan, Haverfordwest, and only 1 mile form the cottage Priskilly Forest. All local courses welcome visitors.

There are also many designated cycle routes in the local area.

Britains smallest "city" of St Davids being a ten minute drive, with its range of local shops and highly regarded "Whitesands beach" and the tourist attraction of the Cathedral.

Haverfordwest is the "county town" and is about 12 miles away and enjoys all of the usual supermarkets and large retailers eg Marks & Spencer and Debenhams, there are also a variety of other shops more local to the property.

Castlemorris

There are some lovely local beaches within 2 miles of the cottage, these include Abermawr and its smaller neighbour Aberbach, these being very quite, clean pebble beaches. Other beaches to visit are Abereiddy and Whitesands (life guarded during the summer)

There is a small pub in the village, which is a walkable half a mile down the lane, they give a warm welcome to visitors .

There are many establishments for eating out to suit a whole variety of tastes and budget, including the local "award winning" fish and chip shop Something's Cooking, well worth a visit.

The area is renouned for its wildlife especially sea birds and dependant on time of the year (around September ) whilst walking along the coastal footpath you can see many seals with their pups.

The cottage is located in a quite location surrounded by open countryside, with some of our guests just coming to enjoy a peaceful break in a beautiful rural location.
