About this location

The Province of Ulster region

The farm is an anglers haven as it has a river and lake located on it. The river meanders through the low lying meadows and it is open for anglers to fish without a license. It is teaming with wild rainbow and brown trout. The lake on the farm, known as Milltown Lake, is stocked by the local angling club and the owners provide guests with 2 licenses free of charge.

A traditional farmhouse set amidst rolling countryside on a working farm 3 miles from Castleblayney 1.5 hours from Dublin. Beautifully furnished throughout with games room, free bicycles, free fishing rights for lake and river fishing on site as well as a free farm experience tour. Great days out can include Hope Castle and Lough Muckno, Concra Wood country Golf Club, Gr8 Entertainment (exciting activities ranging from ten pin bowling to laser combat), The Diamond Cinema and a medieval tomb which provides breathtaking views. All in all a fantastic home in a fantastic location!

This beautiful home is situated on a 45 hectare working farm. It has a herd of Angus/Limousine beef cows, a flock of Easycare sheep, free range hens which provide fresh eggs daily for guests and a rooster which acts as an alarm clock. There is also a working sheep dog called Judy. A guided tour of the farm is provided for guests where they can see the new born calves and feed the pet lambs and pet pigs in season. Hand pick your very own freshly laid free range eggs from the hen enclosure.
