This newly refurbished farm cottage nestled in the middle of a family working farm has been tastefully renovated to a high standard, the accommodation consists of 2 spacious bedrooms, 1 has king-size bed with an en suite and the other has a double and a single bed, there is a modern fully fitted kitchen with all new appliances including washer/dryer and outdoor drying facility. The luxury family bathroom has bath and separate shower cubicle with towels and linen provided. You can relax in the living area with comfortable seating for five.
There is a large fenced garden and a quiet outdoor eating area to the side of the property along with ample parking space. Ideally located for surrounding villages also for visiting gardens, birdwatching, walking, cycling, fishing, pony trekking, golf, water sports and many more local activities. A warm welcome awaits.

The kitchen is a fully modern kitchen with all new appliances also the property has low , mid and high level lighting, giving the option of choosing the mood.
The furniture throughout the property is a mixture of antique and modern but still keeping the cottage feel to the property.
This house is fitted with a fire extinguisher and smoke blanket also it has 3 external doors downstairs and an external fire escape staircase.
We have Freesat TV downstairs and Freeview TV in both of the bedrooms also there is a DVD player so don't forget your favourite DVDs, or why not play a board game.
Further details outdoors:
A large fenced garden to the rear and side of the property gives peace of mind to relax . The outdoor table and chairs are there for you to chill out and take in some of the abundance of wildlife we have on and around the farm. Or arrange to take a walk to visit our own private Sand Martin colony.

On arrival we provide tea, coffee, sugar and milk just to get you started on your holiday and you never know there may be a surprise in the fridge for you to enjoy too !
Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights are also available throughout the year and will be charged at approx 60% of that weeks rate.

Smokers are welcome as we have ample smoking areas outside the property.

Dumfries & Galloway is on the beautiful West coast of Scotland and has so much to offer, we have beautiful beaches, wonderful castles, water sports, pony trekking, Kirkcudbright Tattoo, the spring fling, the area is steeped in history its around every corner ready to be explored.
Why not take in the famous Wickerman Festival, or go to the Country and Western festival at Creetown not to be missed.
For the keen golfers there are approx 6 golf courses in close reach of the cottage.
If you feel a bit more energetic why not bring your bikes and visit one of many cycle runs through breathtaking scenery and forests.
We are within easy reach of Edinburgh and Glasgow too.
The Castle Douglas / Laurieston area
Laurieston is central to Gatehouse of fleet , New Galloway, Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas food town approximately 10 miles to each destination, where you will find art galleries, gardens, walks, miles of coastline to be explored, wildlife parks, castles, mills and an abundance of local shops and friendly country pubs.
Or why not take a break and visit the Food Town in Castle Douglas to sample and buy local produce.
Laurieston itself has a Gallery, playground and picnic areas along with lovely walks into the forestry.

The property is situated about 10 miles from Castle Douglas, from north or south following Galloway Tourist Trail on M6 heading for Stranraer on the A75, approximately one hours drive from Carlisle.
Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports are within 2 1/2 drive, Ryan Air fly into Prestwick and Easy Jet, BA and others fly into Glasgow International Airport.
Train Station is Dumfries a 25 minute car journey, also Castle Douglas is a stopping point for most major Coach companies.
Nearest Ferry point is Stranraer about 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive.
