"Very peaceful and relaxing"

We enjoyed a pleasant stay for one night, the place does look a bit more tired than it appears on the photos, but it is very well equipped and the sofa was certainly comfortable enough for us to nod … More

The eco friendly LED lighting certainly does not make the room bright like the photographers lighting system. Maybe the antique oak furniture pieces were not to your liking but we think they add character to the room. The 32" TV works fine, it just takes a few minutes to warm up but also will soon be upgraded. Thanks for your feedback.

"Excellent Accommodation, Great Location"

We spent three nights at Parton Stables and it was a fabulous get away, quite and cosy. Ideally located for the galloway Red Kite Trail and RSPB Ken-Dee Marshes which was great . We also loved the bird feeders outside the window, there's something very relaxing about watching the birds have their breakfast whilst you eat yours.

The accommodation was extremely clean. We visited in December and arrived late evening, the log fire had been lit and the electric Blanket was warming the bed. Our host Lorna stopped by to introduce herself and through out our whole stay Lorna was fabulous, offering local knowledge on where to grab food from on our late arrival and making sure we had enough logs and peat for the fire during or stay.

we will definitely be visiting again!

"An ideal place to get away from it all."

Spent a lovely long weekend in this quiet peaceful apartment in Parton Stables. Castle Douglas, nearby, is a little town with a main street of interesting shops and eating places well worth a visit. There are many places and things to see and do in Dumfries & Galloway and the owners were always happy to give advice or directions if asked. A weekend, unfortunately, was not long enough to do all we wanted so we would definitely return to the Stables but for a longer visit next time.
