The farmhouse has 4 large bedrooms with flexible sleeping arrangements of up to 10 persons. Prices are available for reduced numbers so please enquire.
Upstairs there are 2 family rooms each with a double and single bed (one en suite) and a 3rd large triple (single beds) room. Downstairs a further room with a double sofabed can be set up as a 4th bedroom with the family bathroom on this level.
The living space is spacious and open, with a large fully equipped kitchen, dining space for 10, and lounge chairs for watching satellite TV.
The outside facilities reflect our aim to make this venue ideal for people of all ages and requirements from peaceful reverie to active fun.
Situated in 5 acres of restful farmland at the foot of a wooded hill, Tuque is an ideal rental for groups or families that like peace and quiet and yet are only 10-20 minutes away from the busy market towns of the Lot et Garonne and the Dordogne. The facilities are shared with the owners, Trish and David, during the off peak season, whose main aim is to make your holiday everything you would like it to be.
A fabulous large infinity pool heated from May to October surrounded by decking with loungers and a hammock, an outdoor kitchen and an outside shower make this setting one of perfect tranquility. Our view is uninterupted to the horizon except by wonderful plum orchards and horses.
This house is spacious and private ideally suited to Off Peak rental for people looking for the peaceful getaway. Being close to Bergerac airport a long weekend or mid week break is always an option.
If you are a family looking for a place to relax yet keep the children entertained then our large play area for the under 10's, a 10ft trampoline and extensive land for that game of footy, frisbie or badmington make it ideal rental.
In addition you have use of a 3 storey indoor play area with table tennis, pool table, darts and table football, plus toys and games to suit many tastes.
If you would like a night out we will happily babysit, or provide a fuss free evening meal after a long day out.

The large family bathroom has a seperate shower cubicle plus corner bath. Upstairs there is a small wash room and toilet and one bedroom is ensuite.
The pool area is fully equipped with heated shower and toilet for that refreshing douche after a long day in the pool.
The main room in the house is an openplan living area. The kitchen, lounge and dining area allows the family to be together whilst enjoying different tasks, or if you want peace and quiet the Snug with 2nd TV and computer provides just that. If you want to be inside the large indoor play areas with table tennis, pool, darts and quiet games (and toys)

The very large private veranda and patio, plus terracing around the pool with outdoor kitchen and BBQ are wonderful for alfresco dining or just "catching the rays"
Welcome pack on arrival
We keep a range of general commodities in the kitchen that every good cook likes to have around her and always forgets to pack! You will not have to dash to the supermarket on arrival for basic essentials like salt, pepper, spices flour sugar tea etc etc all we ask is that when you use them you replace them so that the next guests can be afforded the same consideration
We are happy to be used as baby sitters if appropriate
We are willing to provide an evening meal if arranged in advance
Our vegetable garden is private and we would respectfully ask that you respect this although we do hope to be productive enough for you to have fresh vegetables.
NO GLASS by the pool or on the decking area we have provided good plastic utensils and request that this rule is well kept both for your and the pool's safety!
We have classed the area as unsuitable for restricted mobility since we are on a hill it is a two story building and there are many steps. Also part of the land is sloped.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region
The Lot et Garonne is not as well known as its near neighbour The Dordogne but benefits in this way by being less touristy and yet having plenty to see and do.
We are ideally positioned for visiting the Bastide towns of both areas which boast wonderful weekly markets (one a day in any direction), summer festivals ranging from medieval, to tomato, fruit and vegetable feasts and of course THE WINE.
We are situated in rolling countryside of rows upon rows of the vines of Bergerac, Duras and Bordeaux which change in a few kilometres to the ordily plum orchards (famous for producing Prune D'Agenais) and the very beautiful Sunflower meadows.
Medieval castles and chateaux are easy expeditions away and offer something for all tastes.
Should your holiday coinside with Bastille day (July 14th) local towns villages and communities all have wonderful firework and street parties. In the larger towns of Villeneuve and Bergerac, picnic by the river whilst enjoying spectacular displays.
The Castillonnes, Lot et Garonne / Serignac-Peboudou area
Castillones is the first Bastide town in the Lot et Garonne along the N21. Nearby are the very popular villages of Issygeac, a very pretty town with its busy Sunday market and Eymet with day and Night Markets on thursdays throughout the summer.
A little further south (approx 15 kms) are the night markets of Fongave and Laparad, which are all about eating and dancing al fresco.
A horse riding stable is just 5 mins walk across the road, and a donkey sanctuary with cart rides about 5 mins drive away.
For the children a waterpark & go -karting are found in Bergerac, but nearer to home about 7 km is a lovely pleasure lake with safe warm swimming and beach, play-park, boules, pedalo's, kayking, volleyball and a snack bar if you want a change from home environment. Family picnics in the evening are great fun.

Our local Golf Course is a pretty 9 hole course (128 slope and very taxing) with an amazing friendly ambiance and welcome from the proprietors Brian and Kim. It is just 15 km away. Other 18 hole courses are between 30 and 60 mins drive away in every direction.
Tennis courts and petanque areas are to be found in the smallest of communes.
The rivers of the Lot, Garonne, Dordogne and the Dropt offer canoeing, swimming and boat trips.
If sightseeing and generally watching the world go by is your type of holiday this part of SW France has so much to offer with excellent restaurants ( 5 course lunches with unlimmited wine E13!)
There are Caves (wine and Grottes) in every direction.

We had such a great time! This house is just perfect for families. Everyone had their own area to hang/play in and the views are amazing! Huge play area outside with trampoline, swings and slide! We all LOVED the beautiful infinity pool. I would stay here again and again... easy access to wine tastings, castles and great french markets!

We stayed in the farmhouse in May and October last year. It is a delightful rural residence idealy suited to exploring the Villages of the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne or,as we wanted, just relaxing on the Patio and swimming (in May) in the fabulous, very large, pool. The accomodation is spacious, a very well appointed stone farmhouse with traditional features and a cosy wood burning fireplace. David and Trish made our visit very comfortable providing little extras that made self catering very pleasurable. We drove down in May but flewinto Bergerac airport in October. We will recommend this to friends either with or without children
