UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP... FULLY REFURBISHED AND RECLAIMED.
The gite has everything you could need, fully furnished last year, redecorated and rebuilt for you to enjoy being with the one you love. The Dordogne river is just 10 minutes away, Bergerac is just 35 minutes by car, the wonderful St Emilion is but 20 minutes away.
Surrounded by fields of vines and wonderful walks with the birds singing and peace from the busy life we all lead, just come relax, chill out and feel better on your return home.
We have an above ground pool 10x4 open in the summer for shared use, as it is a small complex, no children, it truly is a small piece of paradise.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Gironde region
This area of France is great for the wine connoisseur or those who just want to experience the tastings.
With fields of vines, orchards and sunflowers in the surrounding areas, and the long river Dordogne to wander along in the long hot summer evenings are just wonderful.
As well as the towns and villages there are all means of activities close by, horse riding, golf, canoeing etc all within easy reach.
Castillon / Lamothe Montravel area
A short walk from the village of Lamothe Montravel, 10 minutes from the grand chateau of St Michel de Montaigne where you can explore the garden and sample the wines.
Castillon La Battaille(7k) where the French after 100 yrs drove out the English. Mondays is market day.
Libourne is a wonderful ancient bastide town. Market day is Thurs.
St Foy Le Grande (10k) has a 13th century Gothic church and a museum. Market day is Saturdays.
St Emilion(15k). Just 15 minutes away magnificent medieval town with history galore. A very famous town with plenty of wine tasting a very good restaurants also a huge tower, an ancient prison, to climb and see over the French countryside. Well worth a visit.
Bergerac (36k). The capital of the wine growing industry sat on the beautiful banks of the Dordogne, museums of the beggings of the wine and boat trips along the Dordogne available another must see and do.
Bordeaux, Lacanau and Archachon, are the coastal towns the nearest is Bordeaux around an hour away if you want the sea.

Budget flights with Flybe.com from Bristol,Southampton.Birmingham,Exeter & Norwich to local airports Bergerac (35mins) & Bordeaux (55 mins).
Also Ryanair.com from Stansted to Bergerac. British Airways from Gatwick to Bordeaux.
A day's drive from all ferry ports. Roscoff, 500miles, St Malo 340 miles, Caen 370 miles.
By Train (Eurostar/TVA from London to Libourne via Paris.

Further details indoors: The gite is individually furnished and equipped for 2 people with your own, separate kichenette dining area, and has its own en suite and sitting areas inside and out, all have been fully reconditioned and refurnished in 2008. We have now added English TV for you to keep up with the soaps etc
EVERYTHING you could need to ensure your comfort we hope we have thought of if we missed it please ask and we will do our best to get it.
Further details outdoors: The outdoors is around 8 acres for you to enjoy... 4 acres of gardens and 4 of forest, feel free to wander or just sit and take in the peace and tranquillity, most of the land has now been reclaimed after years of neglect the meadow and gardens are looking good and new trails in the forest are under way, some parts are fully unexplored as yet, maybe you will be first, but don't get lost...
The above ground pool is welcoming and as we only take a few guests is very relaxing and private
What can I tell you... the view, the area... it's France... just what is needed to relax, forget it all for a week or 2.
