The beautiful Tuscan farmhouse lies in the hills surrounded by the medieval town of Cortona with fantastic views of the Val di Chiana and the Monte Amiata areas and is surrounded by 6 hectares of vineyards and Olive groves The owners produce some truly wonderful wines and olive oils of which you can purchase on request. The Almond house extends generously over 2 floors and has an excellently equipped kitchen with a hob, oven, dishwasher and washing machine.
A welcoming summerhouse invites you on to the balcony from which the view will fulfil your desires. A great deal of love is apparent in the garden. Between the vast array of flowers, shrubs and trees lies a swimming pool with its own decked area from which the vast and wonderful valley can be observed.
The closest village is Terontola and is approximately 2 km away where there is a train station (Routes to Rome and Florence), banks, a pharmacy, supermarkets and newsagents.
The old medieval town of Cortona lies approx 8 Km away and offers some fantastic restaurants, museums, exhibitions, concerts, many bars, arts and crafts and some of the best ice-cream parlour’s in the world.
The Almond House is wonderfully located for sightseeing in both Tuscany and Umbria, and golfers have a choice of three excellent courses all within an hours drive. Excursions to Castiglione del Lago, Orvieto, Città della Pieve, Cortona Todi, Florence, Perugia, Rome, Montepulciano, Assisi, Siena and Arezzo are all within easy reach either by train or by car.

The location of Lago Trasimeno is excellent as surrounding area offers easy access to some of the most delightful places in Italy; Perugia (40 mins), Assisi (50 mins), Siena (1 hr), Arezzo (45 mins), Cortona (20 mins), Florence (1 Hr), Pisa (1 ¾ hrs) and Rome (2 ½ hrs).
Being large but shallow, Lake Trasimeno (at 128 square kilometres, the fourth largest lake in Italy) is a haven for a wide variety of birds and other wildlife. The lake is surrounded by a flat, alluvial plain, then a ring of gentle hills, where woodland alternatives with fields of sunflowers, maize, vineyards and olive groves. In fact, the economy of the area depends largely on agriculture, together with the local’s love of craftwork, notably the famous lace of Isola Maggiore, ceramics and articles in copper and wrought iron.

All holiday property prices are in € per week for the number of people stated in bold unless otherwise stated in € per day.
Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated. The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy. Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition as when you arrived and there are no damaged/ broken items.
