Home description
Casa Pescia is a lovingly restored 16th century monastery creating a tranquil home. It is a place to relax and enjoy the views of the beautiful Umbrian rolling hills. The property is let fully furnished and equipped with all necessary linen. Casa Pescia has a large garden and terrace (with BBQ for alfresco eating); where you can relax and unwind undisturbed.
There are two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a bathroom (with bath and shower) on the ground floor and two double bedrooms with adjoining shower room on the first floor. There is also a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The house is let as a whole and sleeps up to 10 people.
The traditional oak beamed and brick arched living area has a modern kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing all your culinary needs, including an oven, hob, and large inbuilt fridge/freezer.
Pescia is situated in a quiet hamlet near to Sanfatucchio. Sanfactucchio is a small sleepy village with a family run trattoria (only a short cycle ride away).
Castiglione del Lago (www.castiglionedellago) is the nearest shopping centre with three supermarkets and an array of shops. It is one of the most beautiful medieval castle towns by the lake. There are many good restaurants with the best Umbrian food in Italy. There are lots of activities throughout the year including folklore, kite festivals and festas. There is a railway station in the town.

The Umbria region
Lago Trasimeno is the fourth largest lake in Italy and is a haven for a wide variety of birds and other wildlife. The lake is a 10 minute drive from the house and has a sandy beach, which offers excellent sun bathing and safe swimming facilities. There is a ferry to take you to one of the small islands named Isola Maggiore, famous for its lace making. The area is notable for its wine, olive oil, ceramics and wrought iron.
