The apartment is on the 1st floor of a small condo of 4 apartments, in a quiet position in the centre of Vada, a little town 500 metres from the beach. The property can accommodate a maximum of 7 people in 3 large, comfortable, bedrooms. Recently furnished for summer holidays, at the entrance you will find a spacious livingroom with 2 double sofas, terrace, TV; well equipped kitchen with table and chairs for 8 people, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, cutleries, boiler, coffee maker and all the staff for you Italian cooking! 1 bathroom with bathtub, 1 double room with 1 matrimonial bed/1 single/wardrobe, 1 single room,1 double room with matrimonial bed/1single/wardrobe.

Ideal for families or groups of friends, this is the best place to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere whilst also being in the centre of town. From the apartment, it's just a few metres to the pharmacy, bakery, boutiques, restaurants, ice-cream shop, supermarket, shop with all equipment for fishing, and just 800 meters away you will be able to buy fresh fish directly from the fisherman.

The Tuscany region

Tuscany is one of the most attractive regions in Italy for its culture, its history, its museums and for food & wine. Travelling throughout Tuscany, you will discover a multitude of settings ranging from archaeological areas with Etruscan and Roman ruins, medieval hilltop villages, castles, Renaissance and baroque villas with beautiful gardens (both English and Italian style), medieval abbeys, convents and tiny parish churches, typical landscapes with vineyards, olive trees and the popular cypress trees avenue as well as wine estates with both ancient and designer cellars.

Castiglioncello / Vada area

The Etruscan Riviera is a special part of Tuscany. The coast offers sandy and rocky beaches with all facilities and amenities. Rosignano Marittimo and Vada are two small villages with a long history, dating back to the Etruscan ages many centuries before Christ. At Rosignano Marittimo is an archaeological museum with antiques from Vada and Rosignano Etruscan settlements.

Cecina, which is not far away, has an important archaeological museum. Later in that area, the Romans built many villas, specifically the noble families of Pisa and Volterra which were Roman towns. The area is green and just a few kilometres inland you will reach small medieval hilltop villages such as Suvereto, Sassetta, and Massa Marittima. If you prefer the coast, Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci and Rosignano are other small villages worth a visit. These are places where excellent wine is produced, you can have your al fresco meal in typical restaurants with stunning views of the coast. If you are travelling with children the area offers lots of facilities as well as water parks to enjoy.

Vada, the small village by the sea where the apartment is located, offers an excellent location for those who would like either to discover that part of Tuscany or would like to explore more inland villages such as Volterra and San Gimignano, about 45 minutes to drive through one of the most enchanting routes of the region.

Samplings: Within a few minutes' drive you will reach local producers where you can have wine, olive oil or honey tasting.

Sightseeing: the area offers interesting archaeological museums such as Cecina, Rosignano Marittimo, Populonia and Baratti with archaeological parks (from the Etruscan to the Roman civilization).
Hill top villages worth a visit: Massa Marittima, Suvereto, Sassetta, Populonia, Volterra and San Gimignano. Events: local products fairs all summer. Vada fair at the beginning of June.
