The Tuscany region

Tuscany is one of the most famous regions in Italy.

It is worldwide well known for art cities, landscapes, food and wines. Pisa is one of the most popular art cities, but its province is mostly yet to discover. It offers both crowded beaches and silent hills, night life and country relax.

Castelnuovo Val di Cecina

Csatelnuovo Val di Cecina is a medieval village that saw its maximum growth during 19th century with borax industry. It is inside a very active geotermic area, from which at moment the national electric company produce 2% of national power production.

In Larderello, a village next to Castelnuovo, there is the Museum of Geothermy. The population of the area is very active, so many Festivals are organized from spring to late autumn.

"You could not ask for better"

From the moment you arrive, Chiara, Carlo and Giovani will give you the warmest welcome, even warmer than the Tuscan summer! The property is clean and tastefully decorated. You never feel like you are in a rented place, rather in a place you can call home for the period of your stay. The Pool is spectacular, the views and colors breathtaking. The restaurant, Don't miss it for the world. The pizza, antipasti, picci and the deserts!!!!! the wine is natural and the grappa great. In short, one of our best vacations if your looking for some R and R. It rare to see the passion of this 'fabulous duo' in everything they undertake....Keep it up Chiara, Carlo and Giovani! - S+S+S+S

"So grateful for the beauty and grace of this lovely place"

We spent 10 days at this lovely property earlier this month. The apartments were lovely with nice old antiques and tasteful furnishings, as if we had an italian grandmother to stay with. Chiara, the owner was wonderful: always helpful and energetic in her passion for the area. Their small restaurant was welcoming and provided delicious if simple fare which we all loved. The pool! The views! the peaceful setting and the absence of traffic, even in August, made this a perfect place to do lots of day trips to the big sights in Tuscany. So much is overrun with tourists, but we were able to see the wonders without getting burnt out with the culture and history rat race. We even relaxed and had tremendous fun together. Our teenagers were ecstatic and even didnt complain about not having their US cell phones or instant Internet in the rooms. We are ready to return and might try to live in one of Chiara's apartments permanently if Mitt Romney becomes President. Isnt that what a vacation is supposed to leave you with?

"A very peaceful and remote place that makes you relax and restore your energy"

We spent a wonderful week at this beautifully restored old farmouse. The apartment was spacious and tastefully equipped with many pieces of antique Tuscan furniture. The farmouse is surrounded by endless fields and meadows. The highlight is a large organic pool where we spent most of our days, swimming or sitting in the shade of a straw hut, reading, playing or just relaxing. The only things that we missed here were some long chairs and additional shady places to keep out of the intense sun. Chiara is a very nice and helpful hostess. We also had a nice dinner, which Chiara and her staff offer 3 times a week on the patio of the little restaurant. Fattoria San Paolo is an ideal place to spend your holiday when you want to relax and chill out. You have to be aware that it is remote and all activities outside the farm involve driving. In Germany we say that at a place like this the foxes say good night to each other, and that´s what happens there: There is an almost tame fox that you can watch at night!. We really loved San Paolo and definitely want to go back there again.
