Home description
Villa Viviana is located few steps away the famous Castellana Grotte' caves, in the heart of the world wide famous Valle d'Itria between the most appreciated towns of Alberobello and our beautiful Adriatic sea.
This property has been totally restored with very high standards saving typical and original features of Puglia style like stones, trulli, and chianche. This trullo property is fully surrounded by the famous ancient olive trees.
The complex is offering 2 large bedrooms plus one single bed and two toilettes. Two of those bedrooms are located in the large Casale and one (as suite) is in the detached triple cones' trulli. The large Veranda is offering a very comfortable living-dining area, and fully equipped with fireplace and internal barbecue. From this veranda guests are able to enjoy the beautiful view of the external area and swimming pool too.
The large swimming pool needs a special mention as is very high standards and is also equipped by a child area. This villa should easily accommodate up to 6 guests in very comfortable and typical rooms. Guests are exclusive use of the private pool and outside area, pool is also offering a Jacuzzi system (which is available on request with extra supplement and extra security deposit).
From the outside gazebo guests are enjoying the beautiful view over 2000sqm of land around the property and his centenary olive trees.
We really suggest this property for one-two families with children that like to enjoy the typical trullo and ancient properties "Puglia Style" with high standards and high comfort, together with an exclusive use of private pool.

The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia is a wonderful area to consider. It offers at least one excellent archaeological museum, a host of cathedrals dating back to the 10th century, Greek and Roman ruins, a gleaming necklace of lively fishing villages, one of Europe's largest forests, a chain of medieval hilltowns, and some of the very cleanest beaches and water in the Mediterranean.
Castellana Grotte area
Castellana Grotte stands at the limits of an extended, depressed land-mass. It is the most striking example in a series of places that connote the morphology of the entire Lower-Murgia territory. Castellana Grotte, as its name suggests, is known best for its caves, they are regarded as the most magnificent in Italy. Long galleries alternate with spectacular caves, and all of them filled with many forms of stalactite and stalagmite.
What to see: - Chiesa del Purgatorio is rich in renaissance and baroque paintings.
- Church of S. Francesco d'Assisi has rich baroque altars, decorated with stone statues and engravings.
- The Grottoes The visitable section of the caves covers about 3km through underground passages, corridors and caves. The terminal point of the route is the spectacular White Cave, which is considered amongst the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful, stalactite cave in the world.
- The Convent of the Frati Francesci is interesting and the annexed church is dedicated to the Madonna della Vetrana, the patron saint of the town, venerated because she saved the inhabitants from the Black death in 1691. This event is remembered during the festival of the "falò" (bonfire) every January, when the picture of the Madonna goes from the convent to the mother church with a solemn procession and, after a week, comes back to the convent.
