Home description
Restored Stone Church dating back from 1622. It has been sympathically restored to keep original features but has all the modern amenities required by a family. The Church is set amongst vineyards and olive trees native to the Pugliase countryside.
The nearest town is Castellana Grotte famous for its caves and the UNESCO world heritage town of Alberobello is only 12 kms away. The Church has two en suite bedrooms with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The living area is open plan with suitable dining and relaxing areas with TV and DVD. The Church is particular suitable for romantic getaways!
Outside the gardens have facilities for BBQ's and al fresco dining on the terrace. The swimming pool is 10 metres by 5 metres and set amongst fruit trees.

The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia is often called the "Garden of Italy" or the "Bread basket of Italy" as the region produces much of the Olive Oil and Wheat used in the country. Puglia is also now becoming recognised as a producer of fine wines. It has the longest coastline in Italy and being so far south has the greater number of hours of sunshine in Italy giving the tourist season that little bit extra.
Castellana Grotte area
Castellana Grotte is famous for its Caves. This spectacular network of caves with Stalagmites and Stalatites have been carved out by underground streams over many centuries. Castellana Grotte is also a buzzing little country town and because the caves are on the edge of town it means that in high season it is not packed with day trippers.
The UNESCO World Heritage town of Alberobello is the next town along and is famous for the Trulli that are unique to Puglia and can be seen dotted around the coutryside. There are a number of noted towns in the region all worth visiting for their beautiful Historic centres and these are Locorotondo. Martina Franca, Cisternino and Ostuni.
How to get there
From the UK there are daily flights from London Stanstead to Bari or Brindisi on alternate days with Ryanair.
British Airways fly three times a week from April until the end of October from London Gatwick.
Alitalia fly from London to Heathrow via Milan or Rome.

Welcome pack available on arrival. If you are arriving late in the evening we can supply a breakfast pack for the following morning. The pool is available for use from 1st May until the end of October, as it is not heated. All towels and linens are supplied and changed weekly, but if you wish, for a small extra charge they can be changed mid week as well. Winter guests should be aware that central heating is included in the tariff but that excessive use will incur additional charges. This is also applicable to summer guests and use of the air conditioning. Our representative is English speaking and can assist you with information on the local area and restaurants. She is also easily contactable by telephone.
Conditions
A 25% deposit is required on booking the property and payment in full is due 60 days prior to arrival. A refundable deposit of Euros 300 is also required and this is returned within 10 working days of your departure. Winter guests should be aware that central heating is included in the tariff but that excessive use will incur additional charges. This is also applicable to guests in summer using the air conditioning. We request that guests do not leave the air conditioning running when not in the room. This is due to the extremely high cost of utilities. We do stress that in July and August bookings are a minimum of one week and from Saturday to Saturday. However in lower seasons we are flexible and will consider shorter stays for long weekends etc.

Please note that we are open to short breaks outside of the high season, and bank holidays both UK and Italian, and a request for this should be sent by email. A refundable deposit of Euros 300 is paid on booking but will be returned withing 10 working days. Payment is 25% for confirmation of booking and then the full amount is due 60 days prior to arrival. Additional linen and cleaning can be arranged for an extra charge of Euros 40.
