Villa | 5 bedrooms | sleeps 12
Elegant, functional, comfortable and tastefully furnished, Villa Angela is one of the best designed and out fitted villas we've seen for a while.
Built on two floors Villa Angela has many traditional features typical of Tuscan barns such as the criss cross detailing on the outside walls and large arched doorways. These features have been used to create a beautiful barn conversion, combining many unique original features including chestnut beams, tiny peephole windows and main rooms full of light from large arched French windows.
The ground floor is exceptionally spacious and is open plan with several interconnecting rooms that all open onto the patio or garden. The owner has decorated and furnished the house with top quality fixtures and fittings (for example, all windows are double glazed) and some lovely antique pieces. The interior décor is very tasteful and reflects the style of the house with a mix of country style and designer detailing, as well as more elegant features such as beautiful glass chandeliers.
The large patio to one side of the house and accessed from the kitchen gives a wonderful outside space for dining “al fresco”. The patio has outside garden furniture. It looks onto the very large mature garden and down to the pool. For a really luxurious holiday you can ask the owner to send over the maid each morning to clean up last nights dishes and prepare breakfast. Catering for other meals is also possible.
Please note that the main villa is a stones throw away, right next door. The owners stay there some times but are very aware of their guests need for total privacy. At most you will bump into them tending the garden. No windows of Villa Angela over look the owner's villa or them yours. The house is regularly disinfected against insects and all bedrooms come with plug in devices that effectively control mosquitoes and gnats.
Surface area 270 m2. Ground floor: Three large communicating rooms where two living areas have been created both with fireplace and separated by a large kitchen/dining room area. The kitchen is well equipped including an oven, freezer and dishwasher. All three spaces open on to well furnished out door terrace for dining al fresco or garden. The living room has satellite T.V., a CD player and it is provided with internet connection. Also on the ground floor 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom with bath and shower (direct access to the outside and suitable for disabled persons).
First floor: 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedded rooms, overhead gallery open over the living room with two full size single divan beds, 3 bathrooms with shower, lumber room with washing machine.
Garden & Swimming Pool:
The garden (5,000 square meters) provides a good amount of shade in hot weather as there are several large mature trees and the pool (6 x 14 meters, from 1.2 to 1.8 meters deep) is at the far end. It is furnished with sun lounges and other garden chairs. At the bottom end of the garden there is a large open area of lawn that could be used for rowdy ball games.
There is also a designated and shaded parking area and a delightful gazebo.

Castelfranco di Sotto
Pisa's name derives from an Etruscan word meaning “outfall”—the outlet formed by a river as it flows into the sea. Every four years Pisa celebrates its maritime origins by re-enacting naval battles between the four historic republics (Pisa, Venice, Genoa and Amalfi) during the Historic Regata on the Arno River.
The Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) is home to many of the city's most beautiful attractions. The baptistery shares the piazza with the imposing Camposanto (sacred burial ground) whose 43 blind arcades face the square. To the right of the Camposanto is the marble-covered cathedral, a masterpiece of Pisan Romanesque architecture built in the early 1600s. The famous Leaning Tower rises directly behind the cathedral.
Not to miss… Construction on the baptistery was initiated by architect Diotisalvi in 1152 and was not completed for another two hundred years. The baptistery houses Nicola Pisano's renowned marble pulpit. Fun fact: Stand on one side of the baptismal font and make a sound with your voice—note how one sound will echo in various tones throughout the baptistery. During the Middle Ages the rounded Piazza dei Cavalieri was the civil and political centre of Pisa. The piazza is home to the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa Normal School), the Torre della Muda (made famous by Conte Ugolino's tale in Dante's Inferno) and the church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri.
