VILLA DELLE PALME is located in the heart of Casteldaccia, a quaint village on a Sicilian hill, two km from the sea and 20 min. easy drive to Palermo. The location offers a unique setting. Not placed in a isolated country site, this villa is placed in the centre of the town, melted among the town houses. You enter a portal and are placed in a magic intimate garden, while at the same time retain a taste of the local life, easy shopping and leisure walks. Excellent is the local production of wine. "Tranquil and convenient"

I stayed in the top floor suite with my daughter, husband and sister for 4 nights. There was plenty of room for us and the really great outdoor space with the large deck was a particularly nice place to hang out. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and nice. Since it is the top floor, three was a very airy feel to the flat, which was great. The only downside was the steep spiral staircase to get to the flat since it's so high up- but the view is well worth it! The flat was very much worth the price, the amenities which were all included, and the location in Sicily was central. Overall had the feel of a comfortable beach house. The town of Casteldaccia was very welcoming, and there is an excellent pasticceria/cafe and fruit stand nearby, as well as several other places to buy food in a pinch (a market and rosticceria for ex.) - basically everything is within walking distance and the residents of the town are all very nice. We rented a car and found the location great for exploring the northern part of Sicily, such as Segesta, Trapani, Cefalu, and a bit further out but well worth the drive, Mount Etna and Taormina. Lastly, the owner was great with the initial arrangements and replying in a timely manner when we had questions. The manager, Allesandra was also very responsive and easy to deal with. All in all we highly recommend this holiday flat.

"Delightful house"

We had a great time, amazing weather and loads to see. The house and garden were lovely, really full of character and feeling of the owners. The key getting etc was all very easy. We parked just outside in the street, there always seemed to be space. The info left in the house was very useful, maps, suggestions, pamphlets etc. We didn't get the wifi to work. And the front bedroom was very noisy first thing with traffic from the street outside. But all in all it was a great holiday and I would certainly recommend the house to anyone fancying a trip to Sicily.

"Fabulous Villa in Sicily - Our home away from home with a beautiful private outdoor garden!"

The villa was fabulous! We felt welcome from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. The owners, Maria and Riccardo were outstanding. They were helpful, fun and a great source of information. The villa was our home away from home. The villa is spacious, fully equipped and clean. It is good for small or large groups. The backyard is a beautiful private/peaceful garden. The garden makes you feel like you are in the tropics. Everything was in great working condition. The air conditioning was a big plus. The location is close to the market, shopping, bakery and restaurants. The town was small and gave us great feel for Sicily. We would recommend a car to see the country side and beaches. The ocean is close by and beautiful. We hope we make it back to see Maria and Riccardo again soon!

"Comfortable and secure home"

This house will appeal to most people. It is very spacious and secure and is situated within a non 'touristy' Italian town. It is very spacious with a large kitchen / diner and 3 bathrooms, it also has a large patio in a mature garden. It is ideally situated being close to Palmero and Cefalu. The town of Casteldacchi is charming with it's main square being within a stones throw, bakeries and supermarkets are all close by. We all enjoy Italian cuisine and found that Pomodoro e Mozzarella to be the best, this restaurant is a little stroll away and is situated on a quiet, little square. We would encourage the hiring of a car to visit the marvellous sights of Sicily, Syracuse / Ortigia and Monreale are a must so is Cefalu - especially for swimming - & nearby Castlebuono.

"A lovely property in a typical italian town."

This was a really spacious, typical Italian villa in a typical Italian town. My wife and I stayed for two weeks, and our daughter, son-in-law and baby spent one week with us: we were very comfortable and happy there. The only downside was that the property is on a very busy main road through the town, and it was extremely noisy at night:: the traffic noise went on until about 2/3 o'clock in the morning and then started up again by 6 am with people off to work, etc. We also had difficulty in finding somewhere close to the property to park, and with all the baby paraphernalia, it would have been easier to be able to park closer to the property. For the week we were on our own, we travelled on public transport, and had no problem with the trains and buses, all mostly ran on time, and were reasonably priced. The property would have excellent if in a quieter location.
