About the home

The apartment is situated in Castalla Internacional a small new village built in the Vinalopo valley, just 4 km south of the historic town of Castalla. With its grape and olive groves it seems a million miles away from the hassle and bustle of the Costa Strip. Yet only 25 minutes drive from the airport, 40 minutes from the sandy beaches of Alicante and Santa Pola and with at least 10 golf courses within easy drive you do get the best of both worlds.

The apartment has a large sun terrace which is not overlooked and benefits from views of the mountains, has the sun all day and overlooks the pool. There is also a west facing balcony, ideal for enjoying a drink while watching the sun set over the mountains.

Just behind the apartment there are six boules courts and a communal pool (small charge)

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Castalla was an important fortress town throughout the ages and steeped in architectural history. In Roman times the town was known as Castra Altao ( the high fortress ) and during the Moorish occupation there was a fortified castle.
King Jaime 1 took possession of the castle from the Moors after the conquest of Biar, he rebuilt the castle and consecrated the first church in the 13th century.
In 1331, King Jaime 11 authorised Castalla to hold a Saturday market, a tradition which continues to this day.

Idealy situated for walking holidays, a base to visit the many attractions in that area or just a place to relax and chill.
Fiestas throughout the year, Moors and Christians 1st week in September (well worth seeing)

“Lovely restful break in beautiful surroundings” We spent a lovely holiday here, beautiful mountain scenery and the urbanization is very quiet. You do need to have a car but there is plenty to do within a 30 min drive. The kids loved the swimming pool and all the castles in the vicinity. Hopefully we'll be back very soon.
