"Il Caterina" is a typical Tuscan Villa built on two large floors. The villa is located in Castagneto Carducci walking distance from the world famous Via Bolgherese, the "Strada del Vino" (Wine Road"), where Sassicaia grapes grow lusciously.
A 7000 sqm garden surrounds the property with ancient olive trees and aromatic plants and flowers.
Our Villa is kept in a traditional Tuscan style and all bedrooms are furnished with antiques.

The Tuscany region
The mild climate of Tuscany is perfect for a nice lunch on the seaside also during Christmas time.
Poet Carducci Giosuè resided in Tuscany for a long time and in the small village of Bolgheri you can still visit the house where he used to live for many years with his mother.
Castagneto Carducci area
Castagneto Carducci is in Maremma along the Etruscan coast. Around Castagneto Carducci you will find renomate wine cellar where Sassicaia grapes grow lushously.
Marvellous ride trekking on the seaside are a must when you visit the area.
In Marina di Castagneto Carducci, Hotel "Il Tombolo" has a thalassotherapy centre and spa. You can treat yourself to a relaxing time and choose from range of facilities on offer in the centre.
You can enjoy the sunny beaches or dine in a Tuscan style restaurants all with parking facilities for all the guests.
Only 25 minutes by car south from Piombino is a beautiful island "Isola D'Elba" divided in three pieces - explore all of them.
How to get there
Distance from the sea is a mere 10 km and from the village 4 km.
The villa is reachable from A12 higway (exit Rosignano Marittimo) then proceed direction Grosseto, or from Rome direction Livorno.
Castagneto Carducci is conveniently located 1,5 hour from Siena, 40 minutes from San Giminiano and Volterra, 2,5 hours from Rome,1,5 hour from Florence and Pisa Airport is just 40 minutes away.

There are 2 twin/double rooms, 2 bathrooms and a huge living room with fireplace and sea view. Beds for children are available upon request.
Kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, glasses, cutlery, oven, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner and iron are also available.
Night area is equipped with central heating and all windows with mosquito nets.

Guestbook for Podere II Caterina
What a wonderful holiday we had last week. The villa was so perfect for the three of us - we spent most of our week just lazing in the garden by the pool! And the surrounding country is beautiful - we spent some time in Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri - and I think Tuscany is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. I would certainly love to come back for another holiday in the near future and will look at the possibility of staying in your villa again as my first choice. Keith Jones
