The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region

Costa de Lisboa, on the southwestern coast, offers a rich and impressively integrated diversity. The capital of Portugal since its conquest from the Moors in 1147, Lisbon is a legendary city with over 20 centuries of History.

The St George’s Castle and Mouraria is one of the oldest quarters in Lisboa on the top of the hill. Adjacent to the Mouraria are the likewise old quarters of Alfama Every year in June, the streets of all three quarters come alive with the feasts in honour of the popular saints (St António - 12 June).

Bairro Alto is also wonderfully lively at night – lots of restaurants, Fado houses and late night bars/clubs.


Cascais / Costa da Guia area
