Manique nestles in the dazzling setting of Cascais, right on the Estoril coast. It is close to the Sintra Mountain Range and its Natural Park, to extensive gorgeous beaches and it is only 25 kms and 20 minutes away from the beauty and culture of cosmopolitan Lisbon.
The Estoril Coast stretches along the beautiful west coast from Lisbon. Along the coast lie an abundance of sandy blue flag beaches, beautiful lush countryside and historical sites.
Estoril itself is a beach holiday haven. The promenade which stretches along Estoril’s three beaches has all the facilities and refreshments needed on a beach holiday, luxury villas and a championship golf course. Estoril Casino is one of the largest in Europe, and there is always plenty of fun being had inside.
The beautiful town if Sintra lies just inland from the coast in the lush steep hills described by the poet Lord Byron as a ‘glorious Eden’. A great way to see Sintra is by the Sintra tram, and from which the towering Palacio Nacional, Modern Art Museum, Toy Museum and Archaeological Museum can be discovered.
The Cascais / Manique area
This location will give you enough flexibility to enjoy the tennis, golf, boat excursions and Estoril Casino. Also has great access to some fantastic beaches, water sports, golf and the stunning Sintra-Cascais Natural Park – a UNESCO World Heritage site for its natural beauty and cultural interest.
Cascais is a sophisticated and lively beach resorts, with plenty of cultural interest, with the 16th Century Church, many museums and a zoo. There are all sorts of bars, restaurants and clubs ranging from traditional dance to loud DJ’s, and plenty of British pubs.

Without a doubt the most amazing apartment I have ever stayed in, clean, well looked after, home from home, quiet, peaceful, with still allowing the great balance of a family holiday. The apartment is very spacious and just pure luxury, even better then most 4/5 star hotels I have stayed in. I have re visited the apartment with friends for the 2nd time in May this year and you can make the most out of a great location. Complex is spacious, with lots to do, boasts private gated entry for that feel of pure luxury. I would recommend the apartment time and time again !!. |

We stayed at Villaggio Manique for two weeks in August with our three boys aged 2, 8 and 11. The apartment had ample space for our family, was nicely furnished and exceptionally clean. The bathrooms were very modern and we especially liked having two bathrooms! The kitchen was fully equipped and we ate in often. The washing machine was a definate plus point! The boys all enjoyed the swimming pool which was set in the lovely grounds. The pool was never busy and we enjoyed many afternoons there. The apartment was fully airconditioned which we definately needed in August. We also liked being able to park the car in the basement (which kept the car cool) and then being able to use the lift to the 1st floor with all the children and extra baggage needed for the beach! Hiring a car is a 'must' and the owner gave us very clear directions from the airport. We visited many beaches along the coast which were all only a short drive. We also enjoyed a few meals in Cascais which is a lovely town with lots of lovely restaurants and shops. We had really good communication with the owner - we can't wait to return! |
