The village retains its traditional charm, and has long been sought after by wealthy Portuguese and international property owners due to the beauty of its setting, with the coast stretched out below, and the forest and mountain above.
The property is on one floor and consists of two apartments, each with two bedrooms and a reception room, but can be configured as one unit. It is available for parties of up to 10 people when rented as a whole. Each apartment has its own outside space, and guests have use of the large grounds of the Quinta in which the accommodation is set. There is ample parking.

The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region
The charming, historic town of Cascais has plenty to visit as well as restaurants, nightlife, cultural events, cinemas with films in English and shopping. It is close to the romantic world heritage town of Sintra and half an hour from the centre of Lisbon. There is a good beach in Cascais and nearby Guincho is world famous for surfing. Six of Portugal’s best golf courses are within a ten minute drive and discounted green fees are available.

The renowned village of Malveira da Serra is less than five minutes walk away, and shops and good restaurants. The village retains its traditional charm, and has long been sought after by wealthy Portuguese and international property owners due to the beauty of its setting, with the coast stretched out below, and the forest and mountain above.
There is good walking from the village, with an abundance of wild flowers, birds and animals. Guincho beach, world renowned for its surfing, is three kilometres away. Sintra, a world heritage site with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and enjoying ravishing views is a lovely 20 minute car drive across the mountain. Less far in the other direction is the coastal resort of Cascais, where you will find superb beaches, restaurants, night-life and shopping, as well as a charming old town with rewarding site-seeing. Lisbon is half an hour away, and with easy access to the motorway system a number of other world class cultural and historic sites make an enjoyable day trip. A maid service is available three times a week for a supplementary charge.
Guincho beach is five minutes. Less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast several beaches are well worth exploring, as are some excellent fish restaurants. The motorway network puts the Knights Templars’ castle and chapels at Tomar and Batalha within an easy day trip, as well as the ancient university town of Coimbra. Lisbon itself also boasts world heritage sites, and a rich cultural, culinary and night life. Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in English with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes. For the serious shopper, the are two large shopping centres within 15 minutes' drive.
How to get there
Less than two hours flight from most European cities and seven hours from New York, the house can be reached by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 30-40 minutes. Located in the natural park of Cascais-Sintra, the property is only 4km from the motorway and so half an hour from Lisbon and its airport. The spectacular Guincho beach is only 3km away. The centre of Cascais is 10 minutes away, and so his the beautiful heritage town of Sintra.
