It is located 10 minutes walking from Cascais Village centre and ideally located to explore the surrounding sandy beaches, the Sintra Mountain Range and its National Park, the historical coast of Cascais & Estoril, some of the best golf courses of Europe (Penha Longa, Quinta da Marinha & Oitavos) are a 10 minute drive away.
Super walks along the shore and excellent restaurants nearby. Even Lisbon the vibrant and cosmopolitan city is just a 30 minute drive from the apartment. The location offers supermarket and bakery close by and a big garden where the kids can play. Every Wednesday & Saturday a typical vegetable and fish market happens in Cascais The apartment has been recently refurbished having 3 good rooms being one of them a kids room. The living room is generous.

The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region Costa de Lisboa, on the south western coast, offers a rich and impressively integrated diversity. The capital of Portugal since its conquest from the Moors in 1147, Lisbon is a legendary city with over 20 centuries of History. The St George’s Castle and Mouraria is one of the oldest quarters in Lisboa on the top of the hill. Adjacent to the Mouraria are the likewise old quarters of Alfama Every year in June, the streets of all three quarters come alive with the feasts in honour of the popular saints ( St António - 12 June ) . Bairro Alto is also wonderfully lively at night – lots of restaurants, fado houses and late night bars/clubs.
In front of Tejo river ( Tagus), the visitor can’t miss Torre de Belém (Tower from the 15 century) and the Mosterio dos Jerónimos ( from the 16/17 century in Manueline Style). Also, nearby the river in Alcântara there are plenty of fashion restaurants and bars in a place called Docas ( docks)
Cascais / Guincho area
Further details for the apartment in Costa do Estoril - Lisbon area, Portugal Local Information The Village where the villa is situated has a mini market where one can find almost anything. The couple of cafes and restaurants prepare good local food at a very reasonable prices. At Guincho beach, only a couple of minutes by car, one can find several bars, one of which often does good animations. Along the coast road runs from Guincho to Cascais, one can encounter a large choice of seafood and fish restaurants.
Entertainment Cascais was once a fishing village, it has now become a small town with a wide choice of restaurants and shops. There is still a small fishing port as well as a newly built Marina and a shopping mall. A recommend walk by the sea can lead you to Estoril via a sea side walk way full of nice relaxing on the beach small cafes and restaurants. At Estoril, one can find the famous F1 racing track, the Estoril Casino and a wide range of cultural and social locations to visit. And in Lisbon you find almost any ting this a European capital can offer, but with the flair and sea side characteristics that make Lisbon famous in Europe.
Sports Many sports can be enjoyed within easy reach of the house. First, you can walk straight out of the door and enjoy many walks in the nature or towards the sea. Five golf courses are only about 10 minutes away; another 14 are situated within an hours drive. There is a horse riding place in the village where rides and lessons can be organised. The next door village has got a beautiful tennis court with a sea view, in the sand dunes. Guincho beach is one of the most famous in Europe for surfing and wind-surfing. You can also do sailing, water-skiing, diving and, of course, swimming. In the Sintra Mountain, there are many tracks where you can enjoy beautiful walks or mountain-biking.
Golf information: They are 19 golf courses within an hours drive, the closest being Quinta da Beloura, Quinta da Marinha, Quinta do Peru, Estoril site of the Portuguese Open and Penha Longa site of the European Chiampionship (all at approximately 10 min drive from the house). Another 14 golf courses are within an hours drive. Green fees are usually less expensive and courses are less crowded than in the Algarve. Visitors with club handicap are welcome everywhere.
