Places to visit: Sintra Belem Old part of Lisbon( Alfama, Bairro Alto) Parque das Nações-If you have children take them to the Oceanario where you can see several different fishes inside a big aquarium. During the Summer there is also the handicraft fair in Estoril There is a very famous beach 5 minutes driving- Guincho beach. This beach is very famous because of the surfing. But in the centre of Cascais there are also several beaches In Cascais there are also other places to visit such as Cabo da Roca, the most occidental point in Europe. Along the coast you will also find fantastic restaurants where you can taste all kind of food.
Cascais area
Cascais is well known as a fish city. At the traditional narrow street sof the old part of Cascais you will find fantastic restaurants and small bars. Please visit the Marina where you can also find several different kind of restaurants. Sintra is historical town located more or less 15 minutes far from Cascais. There you can visit the sevral monuments and Palaces. Please also try the tradidional sweets. Costa da Guia is quater located 5 minutes far from cascais. It is a quarter where you can find buildins and villas and still green areas. If you have children this is perfect . In cascais there is also a park for children where they can enjoy themselves, and at the same time there is a mini zoo with small animals. But if you want to take them to the zoo go to Lisbon. One of the most attractions in this area is the golf , tennis, horse ridding.
