The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region
Within easy reach of Cascais is the famous beach of Guincho with its high waves that attract windsurfers from all around the world as having some of the best rollers in Europe. The next town to the east of Cascais is the resort town of Estoril with its popular Casino. To the north and within easy reach is the romantic and fascinating town of Sintra made initially known to foreigners by Lord Byron.

Today it is the centre for the Lisbon working international community and the "younger set" who enjoy the diverse and sophisticated nightlife. Just 20 min walk from the apartment is the famous Boca do Inferno in which the sea on rougher days hammers into the rocks and creates a booming noise and a spectacular spray. Today, Cascais now boasts a smart new Marina with lovely boats adding a further attraction to the town. The Parque Palmela is an attractive park created by the Duques de Palmela and now maintained by the Townhall in which open-air concerts are often held.
How to get there
From Lisbon Airport take a taxi or Rent a Car and take the A5 to Cascais. Approximately 20-30 min. drive depending on traffic. We can collect you from the busstop or you drive directly to the apartment as follows: When you reach the end of the Motorway, follow the main road until the 3rd roundabout and turn right downhill to another roundabout and you'll see a tall green building on your left, this is the one ! Park in front next to the other cars. Welcome !
