The property we present for rent is located at the top of the Sierra Malveira, comfortably installed in a framework of absolute tranquillity and harmony with the body on the ground and look down in Sierra Mar. The plot is about 5. 000 m2 and offers total privacy. The gardens are constantly maintained, with beautiful trees, plants and selected pool, a truly exceptional framework contemplated by a fabulous panoramic view reaching the Estoril coast and beach of Guincho. The main house is totally ground floor. The inner surface is about 350 m2 and is distributed by ample social areas, with fireplace, open on a large porch outside. It has three rooms-suite and a bedroom, a large kitchen with pantry, pantry and laundry. The property also includes a support of about 150 m2 spread over a lounge, kitchen and two bedrooms.

Villa Cai Agua is a spacious luxury villa on one floor, relaxing and ideal for entertaining. The main entrance leads to a grand hall. The spacious living room seats more than 18 people, with marble fireplace and glass doors to the outside, with spectacular views. The living area has various corners and seating areas. There is access to the garden from all communal rooms. The terrace, with its comfortable sofas and amazing 180º views of the ocean. From here, you can see the green hills, the swimming pool, Guincho beach and Cascais and its coast. To the left of the hall, the large dining room is located with seating for 10 to 20 people. Next to the dining room, the large fully equipped kitchen is located, with two big pantries and a large laundry area. Next to the kitchen we find a bedroom for 3 people, with its en-suite bathroom. To the right of the entrance hall we find a guest bathroom; further on, a spacious twin bedroom with its own bathroom is so large 2 more beds can be added on request. To the left of the corridor we find another double bedroom with spectacular views. Finally, the main double bedroom is located at the end of the corridor, with amazing views, even from the Hollywood style bathroom! The garden is on different levels, affording many private corners and spectacular views. The swimming pool is on a lower level to the main house as is the Chalet.

Perched on the foothills of Sintra's UNESCO World National Park, the Villa and Chalet Cai Agua is located in Malveira da Serra a quaint village between the declared World Heritage village of Sintra and the chic yet disarmingly charming town of Cascais which regardless of it's new modern edge maintains the tradition of a fishing village where you can find beautiful shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. The house enjoys an exceptional location close to Lisbon and the wonderful beaches of the Estoril and Cascais coast amongst you'll find the most well known one, the Guincho beach where yearly windsurfing and surfing championships take place. The extensive white sand areas, the untouched dunes and the rocky and wild landscape of the Guincho beach turns it into a unique place to visit all year round and to enjoy a sunny day. In the village of Estoril facing the sea is located the biggest Casino in Europe, Casino do Estoril, where you will find all sort of entertainment, gaming rooms, bars, restaurants and evening shows.
Also along the coast at 10 minutes distance you will find several seafood restaurants with magnificent sea views where you can taste the best fish and delight with the freshness of a daily catch at your table.
Golf players will find the 18-hole golf course of Penha Longa at a five minutes car distance from the house and four others nearby in Estoril and Cascais area.
Tennis, horse ridding and sailing are also close by.
You will find all sorts of nightlife entertainment, discos, bars, and restaurants at a 10 minutes car distance from the house in Sintra, Cascais and Estoril and at a 20 minutes distance in Lisbon.
Portugal is a year round destination. Hot and sunny in the summer, with a refreshing breeze off the sea; windier months are July and August; Spring and Autumn are mild, ideal for sightseeing. Rainy days can occur in winter, but it is rarely cold.
The Cascais / Malveira da Serra area
The property presented for lease is located in Malveira da Serra, except for residential area which gives those who live there the fascination of living contemplate the Atlantic Ocean, a step in the romantic village of Sintra - World Heritage by UNESCO - the rich and lively coastal town of Cascais coast and a truly exceptional beaches. A few minutes of some of the most prestigious golf resorts in the world, fantastic five-star hotels, excellent equestrian infrastructure, the best restaurants, bars, prestigious shops, entertainment and the new Marina of Cascais, destinations worldwide recognized for water sports like sailing, surfing, diving or spearfishing. The house is located just 10 minutes from the A5 motorway that connects Cascais to Lisbon in 20 minutes, 4 kms from the beach of Guincho, a Cascais 7 kms and 10 kms from Sintra.
Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. The summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais.

Travelled with a group of 13 friends and the villa was perfect. Lovely setting up on the hills. The owners were very accomodating in getting taxis and recommending local restaurants and nightspots etc. Cleaner came in every weekday and changed bed linen etc. Would recommend a rental car although taxis are quite reasonable. Great stay all in all and everyone agreed! Would (and hope to!) definitely go back! |
