Enjoy a relaxing break in our typical Andalusian home.

Spacious 3 storey house (150 sq m) which sleeps 6 - 1 double with en-suite and 2 twin bedrooms, one with balcony. There is a large marble-floored living room with dining area and a separate fully fitted kitchen. There is a private enclosed garden for al fresco dining, and a private roof terrace with views over the gardens up to the Sierra Bermeja and towards the sea.

Marina de Casares is a mature development set in stunning sub-tropical gardens. There are several different swimming pools throughout the development - the nearest is less than 20m from our villa and has a great separate splash pool for children.

The house is just over 5 minutes' walk from a blue flag beach. It is close to numerous beach bars, cafes and restaurants at nearby Sabinillas and Duquesa. Estepona, Marbella and Gibraltar are all within easy reach. Casares and other mountain villages are close by - there are 15 golf courses within half and hour's drive, the closest only 5 minutes away.

Marina de Casares is just off the N-340 - Malaga Airport is an easy 50 minute drive/taxi ride - making this a perfect base for exploring southern Spain. This section of the coast between Estepona and Sotogrande has so much to do, and still retains much Spanish charm.

The Andalucia region

The region benefits from over 300 days of sunshine a year - and has plenty of blue flag beaches. Also known as the 'Costa del Golf', there are numerous golf courses in the area - Valderrama at Sotogrande (20 mins) is one of the best in the world.

This part of the Costa del Sol is still packed with traditional Andalusian culture. The ancient town of Ronda, high in the mountains, has breathtaking views. There are plenty of beautiful white villages to visit - including nearby Casares and Gaucin. The local town of Sabinillas has numerous festivals throughout the year including the Festival of the Virgen del Carmen in July, when decorated fishing boats set sail into the bay.

For retail therapy, the marina at Puerto Banus (circa 25mins) boasts high-end designer shopping, whilst Marbella (circa 30mins) has a range of shopping including several indoor malls.

Gibraltar is a 25 minute drive and North Africa makes a fascinating day trip by ferry. Organised trips are also available locally to Granada, Seville and Cordoba.

Casares

The village of Sabinillas is less than 5 minutes' drive from the villa or a short walk on the beach. The town has a pleasant beach-side promenade and plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. There are several supermarkets in the town, the closest of which is a Lidl store just over 5 minutes' walk along the N-340 from the house.

Alternatively, you can shop 'local' at the produce markets in Sabinillas or Estepona. Marina de Casares also has its own small shop onsite for essentials.

Just beyond Sabinillas is Duquesa, which has a lively marina and numerous bars and restaurants offering everything from a Chinese meal to traditional Andalusian cuisine. Past the marina is Duquesa's castle, plus several local fish restaurants where you enjoy fresh fish caught earlier that day.

Estepona is the nearest main town (15mins). It has a traditional Spanish 'old town' that is worth exploring, plus a range of other amenities, including beaches, a large hypermarket, various shops, restaurants, and a luxury spa.

For outdoor pursuits, there is a horse riding school at San Pedro and bicycle hire is available locally. Selwo safari and adventure parks are also close by - great for all the family. Sea fishing is available at local beaches or via boat hire - birdwatching is also available nearby.
