The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The costa del sol is know for its supberb climate and beaches but few realise how stunning the countryside is. A few minutes drive inland and you can see some fantastic scenery. A mecca for golf enthusiats the area is a golfers haven. There are many places to visit including:
Tivoli World at Benalmandena, great place with rides and shows for all ages. The cable car at Benalmandena, fantastic scenery and exhibitions at the top Crocodile Park at Torremolinos - great morning or afternoon trip Water Parks at Algecerias and Mijas Rhonda by train - breathtaking views Shopping at Marbella and Puerto Banus - see the array of designer shops, fast cars and fancy yachts. Gibraltar, shopping for cheap booze and cigarettes, see the monkeys at the top of the rock. Not to mention the fantastic beaches along the coastline. Estepona is a particular favourite of ours.
Casares Costa area
The typical white village of Casares lies within fantastic countryside, on route to the village there are several restaruants worthy of stopping to try the local cuisine. There are also several restaurants as you drive into the village worth trying and the views are excellent.
A short drive to the coast, or approx 20 min walk and you will come to a great beach bar open all year round, very popular and great food, you can relax on the loungers whilst watching the children run up and down the shoreline.
Sabinillas is a short drive, 2 mins. Traditionally a fishing village they celebrate the festival of San Juan on 23rd June and it is a great time to visit. Entertainment is provided on the beach of Casares Costa and at midnight everyone runs into the sea with bottles to collect sea water. This is taken home and is meant as good luck/fortune and great fishing for the year ahead. Good atmosphere and last year there was free beer and sardines. You will find supermarkets, chemist, banks, newsagents as well as many bars and restaurants here.
Duquesa is 5 min drive away and the Marina is very picturesque. Quoted as many as the Costa del Sol's best kept secret it has a multidue of bars and restaruants. Remember to explore the upper levels as well as those by the Marina.
How to get there
Malaga airport is a 50 minute drive on the motorway, Gibralter airport is a 30 minute drive. From the airport you may choose to take a taxi to the apartment (approx 75 euros / £55 from Malaga or 40 euros / £30 from Gibraltar). If you prefer car hire, we can arrange a quote for you. We are a good customer of Brunos Car Hire and often receive discounts or upgrades for our customers. We get the quote and send it to you by email. You are under no obligation and only book it if you like it. The car is waiting for you at the airport and they have an office in Duquesa if you have any problems.

Further details indoors: Kitchen is fully equipped including ceramic hob, granite work surfaces there is a laundry area with automatic washing machine. In the living ara there is a Television and DVD Player at the rear of the room a dining table can comfortably seat 4.
The master bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and full en suite bathroom.
The second bedroom has twin beds and fitted wardrobes. A bathroom is just outside the door with toilet and shower cubicle.
Further details outdoors: There is a terrace leading from the living room which has seating for 4. Take in the stunning Meditarranean sea views. A staircase leads up to the rooftop solarium and the panoramic views from here are fabulous!
