This luxurious, beautifully furnished duplex apartment is ideally situated. It is only 5 minutes drive from the beautiful Puerto de la Duquesa and only 2 minutes from the nearest beach. Both floors have large terraces, both with sea views. There are 4 sunbeds, TV & DVD/CD player and Sky TV. There is air conditioning throughout. The fully equipped kitchen itself has a seaview, a washing machine, dishwasher and all the bits and pieces (which are so often missing from holiday lets) needed to prepare comprehensive meals. There is one double master bedroom with dressing area and en suite bathroom, one twin bedroom and a double sofa bed.

This is a modern, airy, open-plan duplex property. The entrance, lounge area, dining area, kitchen and cloakroom are on the upper floor. Downstairs are the two bedrooms, shower room and en suite bathroom.

There are 2 terraces - the upper terrace has patio furniture to seat 6. There is a large lower terrace which can be accessed from either bedroom, it has 4 sunbeds and direct access to the lawned grounds.

Highchair can be hired at a cost of £20 per week. Travel cot can be hired at a cost of £25 per week. Linen & towels provided, but beach towels are not. Welcome pack included with essentials to see you through until you can get to the shops!

The Andalucia region

The annual average temperature is around 21 degrees C and there are over 300 days of sunshine a year - it really is an all round holiday destination.

It has become known as the 'Costa del Golf' as it boasts an abundance of golf courses.

For walking enthusiasts, the area offers plenty of beautiful, scenic walks in the Andalucian countyside, Sierra Nevada mountains & Moorish towns, parks & gorges.

There are many beautiful, sandy beaches to choose from - some offering watersports, diving & boat trips.

For the children, there are amuzement parks, a zoo & a safari park, to mention a few.

Gibraltar is only 20 minutes away for great duty free shopping (you are advised to check your allowances) and amazing views from the Rock (with the famous monkeys).

A 5 minute, drive into the port of Duquesa (Puerto de la Duquesa) will present you with a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, wine/cocktail bars and a couple of night clubs. Boat trips are available from the Marina. The beach at Duquesa is next to the Marina and has a beach bar & restaurant. There is plenty of free parking and a bank, cash machine and small supermarket is also situated there.

Sabinillas is 3 minutes drive away. It is a lovely town, with plenty of restaurants, bars & shops. It has plenty of parking available. The long, sandy beach is really good, with toilets and showers available.

Marbella is 15 minutes drive away and offers plenty of shops, restaurants & night life.

Puerto Banus is 15 minutes drive away and is worth visiting. There are good restaurants and night life. The sandy beach is lovely - there are sunbeds to hire and there is a beach bar/restaurant.

The beautiful, picturesque town of Ronda is 45 minutes away and offers traditional shops, beautiful scenery, walks, history & a bull-ring (with museum).

The Sierra Nevada mountains are 2 hours away and is a good ski resort, offering ski hire, ski school and runs for all abilities. There are restaurants, bars and accommodation.

Gibraltar is easy to reach - 20 minutes - and is good for all of your duty free shopping (you are advised to check your allowances) and exploring the Rock with it's famous monkeys.

"Tick V G"

An excellent apartment with all the facilities a family could want. Two excellent sized bedrooms one en-suite and the pull out sofa-bed in the living room is perfectly usable. The kitchen has every gadget you ever need and the welcome pack on arrival was most unexpected but very much appreciated. The views out to sea from the large upstairs balcony were great. The swimming pool in the complex was clean if a little crowded at certain times of the day, but we found it great for a cooling dip after a day out. The aircon, both upstairs and down, was very efficient and we soon had the inside at a temperature which suited everybody. The only down side I can think of is that you definitely need a car to get the best out of staying at Terraza de la Bahia. Not an issue for me as I like to get out and about but if you want a holiday with no driving then this is not the place for you. I would definitely recommend this property to those who want a great apartment, a bit of piece and quite and a great holiday.

"Great place would go back!"

Stayed at this property with 3 of my friends for a relaxing get a way. The apartment itself was lovely, very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The rooms were big and the terrace was brilliant with the patio table and chairs. Everything we needed to cook etc was provided.The pool areas were also lovely, there were 2 pools and the one we went to had gorgeous views over the sea and was quiet which was great for relaxing! The whole complex was gorgeous!
The only negative comment I have was that it was very difficult for us to find as we arrived at night and there are lots of holiday apartments which all look exactly the same within different complexes/holiday villages. None of us realised that each 'complex' had a name and ours was Terraza de la Bahia which I thought was the name of the town! So I found that rather confusing. Fortunately Dale answered the telephone and was brilliant at talking me through how to get to the right apartment despite it being nearly midnight! So I recommend arriving during the day or chatting to Dale before you go!
When we got to the apartment there was a complimentary hamper in the kitchen, we were not expecting this and it was a great bonus!
Lastly the location of the property is within walking distance to the beach (about 15 minutes) and about 20-25 minutes to bars and restaurants. However the walk back is tough as the property is up a hill! We did not rent a car but it would be very worth while to do so. As the pool area was so lovely we just spent most time there! There is also an ice cream/bar/cafe on the complex which is worth finding as the owners were lovely and food good! The local super market is 5 minutes away in a taxi (about 6-8 euros) and there is a taxi rank at the bottom of the hill the apartments are on. The locals living in the complex were all lovely and overall this was a great holiday which was made better by Dale who was very helpful throughout the whole process. Would definitely go again!

"wonderful vacation home"

My family with 4 teenagers stayed for almost one week. We had a wonderful time! The location was easy to get to from the airport, convenient to beaches, groceries and sightseeing. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a welcome package of snacks. Being tired from our flight, we were happy to take the snacks to the balcony overlooking the Mediterranean with a delightful breeze and relax before unpacking. The apartment is so comfortable for a family. There is space for everyone and many conveniences, like the washer and even a cooler to pack for trips to the beach. We were away from home for 4 weeks, and this was hands down our favorite stop! Even the agent in town who handles the keys was helpful and friendly.

"Perfect place for sunbathing, sightseeing and relaxing."

This was a superb apartment, having stayed in the casares area before and loved the location, variety of restaurants and places to visit nearby. I was impressed by the quality of the apartment which was of a much better standard than many places I've stayed before in the area. The apartment was, immaculately clean, had everything we needed and more! The balconies were perfect for sunbathing and provided a very quiet relaxing place to enjoy breakfast each morning.

I would definitely recommend the apartment to families, couples, singles as there is so much to do in the area. There was plenty of safe parking outside the apartment, and with the beach and sabinillas a nice stroll away it's not alway necessary to take the car.

A real great apartment, extremely spacious, airy, nicely furnished and a nice quiet complex. Perfect !
