Shower room with shower cubicle, sink and toilet. Both bathrooms are fully tiled. Bath towels, flannels etc are all included for you. Please provide your own towels for the pool and beach!

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Casares from which our resort gets its name, is a new name to many visitors to the Costa del Sol area. We are all familiar with places like Marbella, Puerto Banus, Fuengirola etc. but the new age of tourist and property buyer are looking further than the main resorts. People now seek the authentic Spain, away from the busy roads and crowded commercial areas that have become common place on the Costa del Sol. The strange thing is, you do not have to go far to find these little gems.
One of the villages increasing in popularity is Casares. Looking at pictures of the village will draw up images of a village perched high on a mountain, miles away from anywhere. Some elements of this statement are correct. It is perched on a mountain but it is not miles from anywhere. In fact it is just 20 minutes from the coast and within easy reach of the major resorts of the Costa del Sol.
Casares looks like someone has imagined the perfect Andalucian village, complete with white washed houses so typical of the area and painted the most beautiful picture. The thing is that it is real, it is a village with lots of history and brings in day trippers and tourist throughout the year. In addition it has become a very popular area for property buyers that need to be within easy reach of places like Estepona, Marbella and even Gibraltar but do not want to live in a busy resort.
Casares Del Sol (our resort) is actually located inland of Estepona just off of what is now referred to as the new golden mile. All around Casares is some of the most stunning countryside and from the top of the village, the views are virtually unequalled throughout the rest of the Costa del Sol. As you look out across the greenery you can see Gibraltar and beyond that Africa.
Within the village of Casares you have everything you could need. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, some of which are so well renowned that they bring in residents and tourists from all over the Costa del Sol.
The approach road to Casares takes you to the top of the village. Unless you actually live there most visitors tend to park here and then take one of the cobbled (steep) paths down into the village itself. As you decend you pass the cute white washed houses that line the streets until you reach the main square in the shadow of the village's church. On the opposite side of the approach road, if you look over the top, you will see the remains of the fort that once protected its Moorish occupiers.
Being in a protected area, around the village of Casares there are many nature walks that you can take to explore the surrounding countryside and look at the local wildlife in their natural habitat.
As you may have gathered, Casares is a favourite of mine and I highly recommend that if you are visiting the Costa del Sol, you take some time out to go and visit Casares.

Further details indoors: Our apartment is ideal for the beach being 1km, 1 minute in the car! It is ideally situated for easy reach of Gibraltar (duty free shopping) 25 minutes, and Marbella and Porto Banus for strolling along the famous harbours and shops. For general shops and restaurants visit Duquesa Port & Sabinillas 5 minutes by car. Visit the white washed villages of Casases and Gauchin, or the historic town of Ronda.
We have recently installed a sky box with freeview. (no sky card). Pse feel free to bring your Sky card for additional channels.

Lifeguard 0800-1930 hours! Security guards patrol for your safety 24x7x365. Surrounded by golf courses. You will see plenty of wild birds from the balcony (binoculars supplied).
Food shopping: Lidl Supermarket 4 mins by car. Numerous other shops etc 5 mins. Dining: 2 beach bars within 2 mins of apartment. Steak restaurant 1 minute. Many others restaurants 5 mins. We supply guests with an up to date list of recommended restaurants!

Being brand new the tropical gardens are in there infancy, so the prices currently shown reflect that. The property is suitable for disabled,/less able persons, due to undeground parking with lift which services the apartment floor. The lift stops right ourside the apartment!
Conditions

John Wallace Jan 2008. Dear Kevin, Just a short note to tell you that we really enjoyed our stay at the apartment near Casares. It was very spacious, clean and tidy and was fitted to a high standard. We thought the pool was brilliant and it was good to see a member of the ground staff by the pool all during opening times. The golf course was excellent and the club house was very handy being within walking ( or staggering! ) distance. All local amenities were easy to find and the local beach was nice and sandy. We would be happy to stay there again and will be recommending you to our friends. By the way, I took my own Sky tv viewing card and it worked in your Sky box which gave me lots of English channels! John Barnes March 2008 Well!! Where to begin...! We had the most fantastic time at your apartment. It was absolutely lovely and very comfortable. You have thought of everything as far as the kitchen is concerned and I must say that the way you have customised it with the addition of the breakfast bar works very well. In our opinion, there was nothing whatsoever that the apartment lacked. The area is superb. We particularly like the beach and restaurants in Sabinillas - we went to the Chirinquitos a fair bit and found them to be of excellent quality - our children sampled all manner of seafood and that is a real testimony to the quality and presentation as they can be easily put off if it doesn't look quite right! Our favourite was Chirinquito El Paseo on the beach front at Sabinillas - past Green Olive, Restaurant Miel (we had a really really good meal there)/Argentinian Steak House etc. We also went to La Menorah at Finca Cortesin. I don't have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to describe the outstanding meal we had there. We would definitely want to return to your apartment next year! Mrs Janet Thomas Aug 2008
