The Costa del Sol region


Casares Costa is situated 5 minutes from Estepona Port and has a wealth of sites to see and visit such as Castles, Spanish white towns and even easy access to Gibraltar, tax free shopping !!. The sun always shines in the coast ( 300 days per year !! ) and there are numerous outdoor activities to do, golf, horse riding, fishing, whale watching plus lots more. Located on the New Golden Mile, you are 25 mins away from the international resort of Marbella but far enough away to still acheive the pieceful enjoyment of the Costa Del Sol. There are lots of beach restuarants to enjoy as well as traditional Spanish and international cuisine.
Sabinillas, less than 5 minutes by car, is the local village. In addition to banks, post-office and chemists, it has an attractive beach-side promenade, lots of cafes, bars, restaurants, small shops and three large supermarkets. Adjacent to Sabinillas is the lively port - Puerto de la Duquesa. It offers international cuisine in its many restaurants overlooking the marina, and has plenty of night-time entertainment.
The Casares Costa / Bahia de Casares area
With regular markets held up and down the coast, it is a shopping paradise, along with the jet set town of Marbella only 25 minutes away. Sotogrande Port is only 15 minutes and is becoming a popular toursit resort in its own right. Sotogrande is a 5000 acre private sporting estate and home to the world famous Valderrama Golf club, host to the 1997 Ryder Cup.
