The development is set in tropical landscaped gardens with six swimming pools and is close to a selection of excellent golf courses. There is also a clean sandy beach only 800m away with a superb beach bar and restaurant.
There are several golf courses nearby including the Jack Nicklaus Golf Acadamy. Some of these are adjacent to this resort within easy walking distance. The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Don't be put off by the high-rise hotels and apartment blocks that mar the Costa del Sol: Málaga is a vibrant, Spanish city with a real southern port atmosphere. The second largest city in Andalucía, it boasts pretty streets, leafy boulevards, lush gardens and a breezy ambience.
Casares Costa area
The "Puerto de la Duquesa" is a beautiful quaint marina with over 300 berths and a variety of restaurants including French, Italian, English, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Irish and Spanish. Each side of the Marina are the superb blue flag beaches that cater for water sports in the summer. You will also find some shops and bars that offer all types of entertainment to cater for all tastes. Some bars have some some really nice singers and there are some night clubs should you fancy a dance and there are a couple of bars that have karaoke a couple of times per week. Theres also a selection of nice "chill out bars" with fantastic views over the marina. Slightly nearer to the apartment here is a 6 Star Hyatt Hotel under construction which further enhances the growing reputation that the area is getting on a daily basis.
Estepona is slightly bigger than Duquesa and offers even more restaurants and has nearby safari and water parks. Again each side of the Marina are fantastic beaches with the usual variety of activities. You will find weekly street markets at Estepona and Dequesa with a variety of goods on offer. There is also a weekly street market at Sabinillas which is very popular and is open every Sunday from 8am - 3pm and sells just about everything!
There are many festivals in Spain and as always are great fun and well worth getting involved. There is a huge variety of restaurants in Duquesa and we have not had a bad meal yet, they are all fantastic and range from traditional Spanish tapas to Chinese, from Italian to English fish & chips, there are also some excellent seafood restaurants and restaurants with superb international cuisine. Most people say dont eat Indian meals in Spain but "Passage to India" really is the exception. There is something for everyone in Duquesa and theres even a couple of fast food places that cater for burgers and kebabs.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga or Gibraltar. There are a variety of competively priced airlines that fly into both locations (eg Easy Jet, Monarch, Thomasonfly, Flybe). Casares del Sol is a 50 minute drive from Malaga and 30 minutes from Gibraltar on the motorway. Casares del Sol is located between Estepona and Duquesa. Full directions will be provided when booking

Further details outdoors: Casares del Sol is a quiet and relaxing location and you are only a short 5 minute drive from the small town of Sabinillas and the beautiful Puerto Duquesa Marina. Here you will find an excellent range of bars, restaurants and nightlife. The restaurants cater for all tastes, including seafood, steaks, Italian, Chinese and Indian cuisine.
Estepona and the picturesque hilltop village of Casares are just a short drive away and Puerto Banus and Marbella are both within easy reach for a day or night out.
